You know 99% of it isnt true then right? This guy does nothing but spread misinformation. 2 dollar bills aren't rare and they've printed them every day since the 60s.
Storytime about 2 dollar bills: So I worked the concession stand at my highschool for volleyball games. This time, I was working with a partner. Things were going smoothly before a few weird things happened, they aren't relative to the story so I'll skip them. But the last weird thing that day was when my friend came up to the stand and ordered something $10 in value. So I opened up the register and waited for his payment. He then proceeded to pay me in $2 bills. Me and the girl I was working with just stared at him, wondering if he knew what he had given us. The lady behind my friend noticed what he had done and offered to trade two dollars for one of the five two dollar bills. We thought about it and agreed. My friend went off with his food and my coworker and I sat there wondering what to do with the two dollar bills. She wanted to keep one but didn't have her wallet with her. I wanted one as well, then I realized that I had my wallet with me. I pulled out four dollars and placed them inside the register. We both ended up getting one which left us with two left. I had no more money so we put both bills inside the register. After the game, I went to my friend and asked about his decision. He thought about it and went, "Huh, that was pretty stupid of me". He just seemed to accept his decision. That was over a year ago and I still have the two dollar bill
First 2 dollar bill i saw in sight: (Im from Europe) was at a Money exchange place. I asked for 2 banknotes of a 2 dollar cuz theyre rare. I got a 2013 and 1976. This was the beginning of my banknote collecting, i had/have 15 different countries.
Here in Brazil, R$ 1 bills have been retired in favour of R$ 2 bills and R$ 1 coins some 15 years ago. This was because of the cost of production. Though it is cheaper to produce a bill than a coin, the coin lasts way longer, so for a lower value, the coin worked better. The average lifespan of a bill by that time was between 1 and 3 years, and while the currency has changed many times in the last 40 years, my parents still have some coins as old as me (34 YO).
I have like 30 $2 bills because I remember hearing that since they were not in circulation anymore that it meant that they are not worth anything anymore and since I thought(still do) that they looked cool I just decided to keep all of them in a special box for only them
These were popular in the 80s at Easter and Christmas. I was always getting them, except with a little Santa or easter bunny sticker over the face. I had like 10 of them, you peel the sticker off and some stores will still take them. Usually i had to take it to the bank.
Wozniak bought a stack of uncut $2 sheets, had them make into 3-on-checkbook style notebook at his bookbinder friend. “No I'm from Philippines and if I wasn't from Philippines then I'd be broke, so I would have no money”
I actually have them! It was a gift from my grandpa right before he passed away and I cherish them forever
I always knew about the $2 bill, but never knew about the rich history behind them! Very interesting!
A similar thing happened in my country, we used to have 1 bills but now they’ve been discontinued because they were overused and we had coins anyway
Hmmm learn something new every day! I learn something new every day just by watching these videos. BTW I LOVE the goofy sounding voices you do in the videos. Keep up with the AWESOME job you are doing! ✌️
Ofcourse if stealing content from Great Big Story is an awesome job...
Nope HATE the goofy voices actually annoying otherwise meh
@@大砲はピュ So, why do you watch the videos?
You know 99% of it isnt true then right? This guy does nothing but spread misinformation. 2 dollar bills aren't rare and they've printed them every day since the 60s.
I only remember seeing a $2 bill once in my life as a kid.
I had a lot, but I spent them Christmas shopping this year lol
Up here in Canada, toonies are everywhere
When my grandma died a few decades ago, all of us grandkids each got a $2 bill.
Au yes, grandma title dark secret
Eyyyy my grandmother did the same
Storytime about 2 dollar bills:
So I worked the concession stand at my highschool for volleyball games.
Wow lol

“Tyooooo dollar bills”

@@mycatdobby7989 one two or one one?
I got them all the time when I was a cashier at a store and I still hold on to 3 of them.
The most favorite part about his videos for me is his acting voice for different characters 🔥
He is good at it. 😊
He whips out this $2 bill-notebook, tare them off at the perforation and pays at a Macdonald’s. The cashier could not believe what he just saw, he seeks an opinion from an police officer who just happened to be at the scene. "Aaaahhhhh, I wouldn’t take it” the officer replied.
As a brit who doesn't use a wallet, i see this as an absolute win
What?
average br*tish “person” who doesn’t own a wallet and just stabs someone to take their money when they need it
What do you guys use instead of a wallet?

I used to always go to the bank with my parents and exchange 20-40 dollars into 2 dollar bills, I even remember on my birthday I got 5 of them in a card.
me too
“You seen one of these? Probably not”
*Me working at a coin shop and paying for my lunch with exclusively $2 bills I find just laying in desks*
We have a regular customer at the bar who likes to visit the bank once aweek, ask for 50 2's (breaking a hundo), and then tips every person who works that day with 2-bills. Love that guy lmao
We have one of those, but he tips only in gold dollars. We call him gold dollar Mike
I have had a single $2 bill I got when I was 8 or something around that. I was told they were rare so I kept it. Same with my dollar coin, 50 cent coin, and a chunky che coin idk how I got.
@@Crosscro the dollar and half dollar coins can be rare af, if you have the right one! look up identifying markers on your coins and you may find ones similar that have been sold.
