Welcome to this channel dedicated to angling in and around Mauritus. Fishing is my hobby and passion since I was a kid. I target a wide variety of tropical game fish from the shore, in the lagoon, near shore and deep sea.
I have a 20 year long career in media and since mid 2020 I act as consultant and trainer in media related activities.
    Videos are uploaded weekly.

Thanks for the info Rabin. I used to do it with a knife, it isn't ikejime but works as a quick way to dispatch. I haven't been doing it lately and let the fish suffocate as most would do in the cooler. You do feel a difference in the quality (it's noticeably more red) and on the ethical side, not very kind to the animal.

I understand that at first it may look tedious and you feel that you’re getting away from the action (specially when fish are biting) but with practice, it just takes two minutes and you’re back with your gear in hand in no time.

@Sport fishing in Mauritius hard to disagree. It's the same argument you have with yourself when you first learn the FG knot. With practice, it gets better and quicker.
