What are your first impressions of the Shure MoveMic? Is it missing anything that you wish it had?
The big downside for me is that you have to use their app(s). I record video using the Blackmagic Cam App on my iPhone 15 Pro and this presents a big issue. I need a wireless mic that sounds good and can be recorded directly not using another app. For me, these are not good for my requirements. I have both the Hollyland Lark M2 and Lark Max which each fill different niches in my video work and their combined cost is less than the
Shure MoveMic kit. I could see someone who does Podcasts may find this new Shure offering convenient.
Yeah I would agree that this is meant for a certain userbase for sure. I will say, though, that I have been playing with the software and it is quite nice. allows you to shoot up to 4K/30 which, yes, is a loss on a phone that can shoot 8K, but I don't feel super confined by it.
