I like flying in Dubai very much, but l have a question. When the plane is about to land and encounters wind, why does it continue to hover in the air instead of choosing another place to land???

I think maybe from what I’ve seen is that the pilot must feel confident that they can complete landing and do it safely. I’ve seen many planes hover at Manchester Airport, and land.
