A hooped Hammock? That is interesting ! I agree about that Cat decal though, they need to get shut of that. Good to see that the raised fire pit worked so well. The fish looked great. Just proves, you don't have to slum it when you're out & about.

I just want you to know something, I’ve been debating whether to go on one of my epic camping trips for about a year now, the point is I go on trips up to a year long and I needed something to make it a bit more survival like. I have been considering getting a hammock for about six months now and building little survival shelters along my way, I am in Scotland and they pretty easy going here with me. The only reason I have not done this so far is I had locked my mind to needing a tent. But you my friend have inspired me once more. I’m actually going to record this trip, I am going on the seventh for winter adventure. I can do my work on the move so I’m gonna pretty much ok. So I have not checked yet but whatever I buy for this trip I will click one of your Amazon links and buy all from that as I usuall spend around 800 to 1500 on gear. Not sure how much it will be as 300 to 500 of that is usually on a tent. I give all my gear to a homeless person when I finish each trip. I just wanted you to know though that you have inspired me to get off my fat lazy bum and move again and as a thank you I will keep your affiliate link for all I buy on Amazon for the next twelve months, I am 50 now and my time is not as long as it once was and the bones do not move so easily.

Night Cat sign. Best way I found was to patch it over with a cut out from.old tent bag the same colour by using bathroom.sealint glue go off like rubber n the light stitched. I cover the mountain warehouse simbol the same way

Great vid Dan, as always. I’ve had this hammock for a while now, but not the cat version. It’s bright green though! I have also used as a tent and it’s pretty good. Easy to put up and quick to take down. Love mine

Basa Dan, it isn’t Sea Bass, it’s a freshwater catfish which is imported. Very nice though but I do suggest you try Sea Bass , absolutely gorgeous. A thumbs up from me Dan.

Got my Night Cat and same fire pit before I saw this, both are excellent. Going to use a solder blanket under the fire pit to stop it scorching the grass under for real no trace camp.
Will be rattle can spraying the cat sometime soon too.

My top tip for salmon. Get yourself some like marmalade and spread some on your salmon with the line slices. Wrap in foil and cook just as you did here. It's delicious! Loving the videos.

Get a large permanent marker of the approximate color of your rain fly and color it in... It will not disappear completely but the cat will be far less noticeable / or subdued from the outside.. The shape will still be quite visible from the inside.. Cheers... 🍻

Excellent video Dan. I really enjoyed it. It made a change from steak. It wasn't Sea bass you were eating but smoked basa which is a type of catfish that Tesco and Asda sell as a cheaper alternative to smoked haddock, It goes well with the cat on the hammock lol.

tetrachloroethylene otherwise known as dry cleaning fluid will remove the screenprinted cat from the hammock bag

@@englishwoodsman I would advise against attempting this yourself at home, instead seek the services of a professional dry cleaning company, failing that try a screenprinting company, if the screenprinters are unwilling to remove the image you could ask them to overlay it in green, they are liable to have an exact colour match for this.
To make the tripod taller, Buy another tripod! And use the legs when using the raised fire pin 👍 nice vid.

Could you please Review the Alpkit no pole tent you have to use a bike pump to inflate it and it costs 180 and pack size is 28x14cm and it is 1200grams it's similar to the Vango air tent only 300 pound cheaper thank you and awesome video.

@@englishwoodsman I have just noticed the new version has smaller logo and writing. They should have done it in black rather than white to make it less in your face. Be hard to stealth camp in that.
Just a heads up on the fish mate. That's not sea bass youre eating. Thats Basa ( asian catfish ) its banned in some countries and does need to be cooked thoroughly as it holds a greater risk of food poisoning. Just letting you know that all bud. Good video
