How to fire brand a box using a simple jig

A flattened spoon, a Dremelled anvil logo cut out of it, a hinged board to hold it, and a mapgas propane burner to heat it near red heat... For extra speed of pressing it onto the wooden box, another hinged board on top of the first one, with a square of fireproof porous material ... simple jigs are often very easy to make, fun and quick. Eighty twenty rule applies to jigs - keep them simple and minimalist in materials and fastenings, for rapid prototyping, rapid evolving of processes... The aim is to hand-make jewellery boxes that add beauty and depth to the creations, at a reasonable cost in time and materials. Actually the pine for the boxes is recycled from pallets. the hinges were cheap from the box and ruler manufacturer we bought the Arab letterpress printer from when he closed down. Pushed into a slot they stick in by means of little pressed flaps...no tiny screws required!
