Based in Dreamspace gallery, Gisborne, New Zealand aka 'Middle Earth' ever since the Lord of the Rings movies were set here, Wizard Workshops is a new school and 'folk factory' of arts and crafts, philosophy and 'alt enterprise', dedicated to the Art and crafts Renaissance, and more widely to the 'True West' - our Civilization at its best, i.e. a 'Minas Tirith' of liberty, justice, truth, and dynamic evolution into the 'Possible Human' and preservation of a truly noble culture.
Peter Harris, founder of Dreamspace limited, original builder of Cafe Eutopia, wrote a (free) ebook 'How to be a Wizard', subtitled 'How Life is magical, and we are too'.

Mysterious dodecahedrons have been dug up around France and Germany where the Roman Empire was... they have little balls on each vertex, and no-one know what they were for. Dodecahedrons are one of the Platonic solids which are the few shapes whose vertices fit perfectly in a sphere. I read somewhere that there's a theory that the universe is dodecahedron shaped...hm. I demonstrate how easy it is to melt and work pewter from an old mug or pewter vase... To do the pouring to make a sheet of pewter you need a sheet of Pyrex type glass, or glazed tile perhaps- I haven't tested that, as I have these glass disks used in sealed outdoor uplights (I think).
