Glad to see you back there eh! Interesting video winter hasn't hit us here yet in southeast Canada yet but sure its coming thanks for sharing can't wait for part 2
Have you considered the following: Vertical posts, say square that have a tongue in each side. Then notches or grooves on logs to position then between the two vertical posts. Its difficult to sometimes paint a picture with words, but would not this be a lot faster?
You are completely correct Juri (my keyboard does not let me type your name properly, my apologies). But I like to encourage people to get started because it is only with practice that people build the experience and confidence that will make these cuts work for them. This system does use much simpler cuts than we must often use in regular log building so while they may not be as easy as they look...they are easier than most other methods.
Juri, your name has me curious. Forename kind of Russian, Surname more like Finnish. Estonian perhaps? Hey. would it be ok with you if I mention your comment in the next video?, I could just give your forename if you want. let me know.
@@ProjectHighlander I am Estonian. Jüri with ü is typical Estonian forename. My surname is Finnish with some letters lost along the way. I am currently based in Norway doing production logbuilding. You can mention me in future videos if needed. Cheers.

Nice to say a new build from you. It will be quite interesting and I am looking forward to seeing how this all works out.

Can you use crane mats for your building techniques if you wanted to build a decently large house? I would assume you could.
As someone who does logbuilding for a living I should mention that these chainsaw cuts are not as easy for a beginner as the author makes it look.
