- Hey guys!!! In today’s video I’m finally testing out some new drugstore makeup that I’ve had my eye on (AKA the new Maybelline Soda Pop Palette)! I’m not trying to spoil the video, but I loved SO MANY things that I used to create this look!! I think it might be one of my favorite drugstore looks!! I hope you all enjoy the video! The foundation is beautiful and long lasting, sometimes I sheer it down mixing it with a primer. That Catrice primer does nothing for me and I really believe it makes my makeup break apart sooner. Mascara... you should definitely try the Catrice Lashes to Kill ultra black mascara. It is blacker than most of my mascaras, gives good volume and separation, doesn’t clump and the flaking is so minimal that it’s not even an issue. You really surprised me with that palette though 😱♥️
I agree, the foundation is great but not sure the primer is doing anything for me.

Meagan Hiller I feel like foundation is so hard to match, I often fail even when I test it at the store. It’s easier when it’s BB or sheer foundations but you can always lighten or darken it with mixing drops. 😉
Mónica Santos I believe I got the same color she used in the video. Lord knows I have more than enough foundations to mix it with if I need to work with it 😂😂

Your not alone on the soda thing I'm 16 and I have never liked soda, and it's because of the carbonation, thank goodness someone else is like that because I knew I couldn't be the only one 😄

The purple eye look was beautiful on you! It gave you a vibrant and joyful appearance. You always look lovely but I find bright looks bring out a happy, bubbly appearance. And the foundation really gave you flawless skin! Truly a good makeup day.☺️💄💖
We seriously have SO many of the same favorites! Update on the colourpop tinted brow gels: I tried the light brown shade and im filming with it today- should be up this week! I DON'T think its really a 100% dupe for boy brow because it smudges a little too easy compared to boy brow's hold 😭

You typically like warm tones but cool tones like purples WORK for your eyes in a way that warm tones just can't compete with!

That highlighter is one of my FAVORITES. It is a little bit more chunky but when I do it right after setting spray it looks so good and WET. Also you base makeup is giving you that SMOOTH canvas I love it. Love this look!

You always make eyeshadow palettes work when others can’t. How do you do it?? I always watch your videos first because you give the shadows a good chance. You understand that formulas are different and you shift gears. It’s so cool to see someone on TH-cam who does this. Love your videos.
This foundation is my favorite foundation ever, it's just so perfect besides the shade range. I have been reaching for this foundation everyday for two months！I like it so much that I don't want to use any other foundations even my high end foundations. It has the most beautiful finish and last a long time on my olily skin. If u never tried this before, just get one and give it a try, u wont regret ！
They just expanded their shade range but you can only get them on Catrice cosmetics.com. Ulta only has 4 shades in store.
Im not sure about the finish on this foundation but I will be trying it. But the flower beauty foundation is beautiful and has a glow finish
Steph W I would say it’s a “soft matte” I have normal skin with a slightly oily t-zone and it doesn’t look too matte on me, it gives a blurred look and it lasts quite a long time. I prefer it over a lot of high end foundations actually, it’s just a shame the shade range is so bad. I’m NC20-25 and my shade match is 030 sand beige (the 2nd darkest shade). If I were tan I wouldn’t be able to wear this at all.
That purple shadow really makes your green eyes pop.. Super pretty.
You should try catrice setting powder too, it gives that airbrushed look 😊😊
What store sells Catrice? I'd love to try some of their products but I'm not big on online shopping for new things - I like to see them in person before I buy

After testing this foudation, the videos I used for researching of the foundation mentioned their yellow loose powder as "aribrushing for pores, long lasting matiffying & brightening without drying for under eyes" - decided to try it - works great with everything & those statements are true.

Funny to hear you say that about Soda, because everybody always thinks I'm crazy when I say I'm not a fan of anything carbonated! It burns my throat and makes me choke as well. Plus I feel like it gives me heartburn! That's just a hard PASS for me all the way around!
As far as the makeup, I'm glad you decided to review the Soda Pop palette! I LOVE purples, so I was really curious about this one. But haven't purchased it yet, because I wanted to wait for some reviews I actually trust!
One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE Halloween Movies is Hocus Pocus! I watch that every single year. Several times a year. Basically every time it comes on TV during this time of year! LOL. I've been watching that movie every year since I was a kid, and now my kids watch it every year with me! As well as Casper the Friendly Ghost! 😊

The soda pop palette look turned out beautiful. I have been using a darker foundation as a contour for a while. I use the Bare Minerals pressed foundation, and it works like a dream.

I have a recommendation! Models Own Highlight Shimmer Stick in Fierce is an amazing glowy blush, even though they market it is a highlight! It’s dewy, blends well and just brings so much life into the skins and I don’t think anyone is taking about it!

I would love to try that Foundation line it looks like it had good coverage I also like the highlighter on the top of your cheekbone as well as the bronzer and the eyeshadow palette definitely good products for a drug store line. It just proves that you do not have to have a lot of money to have a high price makeup look it is classy and beautiful. Keep these kind of looks and tutorials coming so that those of us who are not as experienced as you can learn from your experience and knowledge

I think I've learned more useful makeup tips from you than almost any other beauty TH-cam channel. Everyone else cakes on foundation and concealer and false lashes and that's just not me. But your makeup looks are always something I can see myself wearing but its never boring or basic. Also idk if you get lip fillers but your lips are literally the perfect shape and size. If they're not natural, I can't tell at all. ❤️❤️❤️

I completely agree with the carbonation being an issue in beverages. I can tolerate soda if it’s over ice because it breaks down some of the bubbles and dilutes the intensity of the soda. I’m a tea drinker personally, and I’m so used to drinking smooth beverages that it burns to have a soda every once in a while.

I seldom LOVE a make-up blogger but you are truly amazing. And the transformation always stuns me. A few requests: can you do a quick tutorial on brushes? And, most important, where can we find a list of the exact products you are using? Most helpful would be if they'd pop up on the far left of the screen as you discuss them. Second best would be a rolling list at the end, like credits. I always THINK I'll remember the name of the products but then I never do. Keep up the wonderful work!

I’ve actually been using that bronzer trick for years. I am super pale and I have ended up with a lot of powders that are too dark. I needed a way to use them. I’ve also been in theater a very long time so contour or using two different foundation shades for dimension is not new to me by a long shot. So... light bulb lol. Low and behold... it worked :) happy you discovered this trick.

I love pixi liquid lippies, so soft, pigmented, beautiful. Though they doesn't last as long as KVD, for instance, still worth and nice essence. Totally recommendable.

Allie you mentioned not being able to find light highlighters for your skin tone and the revolution pro highlighters that are magnetic in the pack of highlighters and the pack of contours are really beautiful for light skin tones and are able to go into any z palette - you'll also have a darker highlighter left in the highlighter pack but it's so beautiful for eyeshadow as a shimmer

Catrice foudation and maybelline fit me matt and poreless are my favorite foundation from drugstore so far 😍🙌🏻
You might be on the lighter range of the spectrum, but you are not fair. The lightest shade of that foundation might not still match me, and there are people way more fair than me out there. I can't use that Fit Me concealer because it gives me worse under eye circles because it is so dark....

I love using a deeper face powder as my contour. It adds coverage and dimension at the same time in a subtle way. It’s almost impossible to screw up.
