I'm so upset I went into Superstore (it's a grocery store in Canada). They used to have the most affordable makeup. I think with all the hype going around these products they jacked up the prices like crazy. My favourite Pro Glow foundation was around 15$ that I could remember and now they are $20!! :((

I’m so overwhelmed with all the Makeup launches at the moment Allie, I totally agree with you. I wish things would slow down a bit but There are so many launches that I would love to get. honestly I can’t afford it being a student though, However I am going to save up for Huda Beauty palette, it looks like my dream palette to be honest😍
look for dupes! alter ego, beauty glazed, etc. its eyeshadows and they work the same. unless you are die hard in supporting huda, personally i dont find a need to spend so much for palettes. just saying cause as a student its better to get affordable makeup but if it makes you happy to splurge on an item once in a while, go for it too! ♡

About three years ago, I decided to become more of a minimalist. I decided to choose one or two affordable makeup/skincare products to keep and donate everything else. The only time I buy is when I run out of something. I think it is overwhelming how many makeup brands and new products are launching these days. I can understand a beauty influencer needing products to review, but how much makeup can one person actually use before it expires? Thank you for this video, Allie. It is amazing that a lot of what you used are my holy grail products!! :)

Warning for anyone considering the elf concealor: it's very dry. Like you have to blend it out RIGHT AWAY or it'll end up looking uneven. I still like it, but it does make my undereyes look really dry and doesn't usually wear off at the same rate as my foundation(I also use the believe beauty foundation) which can look bad near the end of the night.

I totally agree with you. Very dry and hard to blend out. Not as good as the hype it receives. I prefer other drugstore concealers!
Cicadian Cycle I bought it off the entire internet’s recommendation and I couldn’t afford shape tape and it was wayyy to dry for my skin . My favorite drugstore concealer is still maybelline instant age rewind no contest (maybe makeup revolution comes close)

Favorite single shadow drugstore is Colourpop's super shock shadows. Quick and easy when you are in a hurry. I also love Elf's bronzer/blush duo in Fiji. Very overwhelmed with all the makeup launching.

Honestly I am more excited about my Tati beauty palette arriving. People are raving about how smooth her sparkly colors are. I really feel like Shane and Jeffrey are putting out makeup for little girls and not adult women

I don’t have a super big makeup collection and I’m usually kind of choosy about what I pick up so I don’t get super overwhelmed by all the launches. I am really excited about the huda beauty mercury retrograde palette and the lunar beauty moon spell pallette 🌙✨

Hey Allie! I’m wondering if you could do a video full of tips to combat typical problems of different products? Sometimes I have bought products that I don’t love, but I want to use up because I purchased them. For example:
Foundation - doesn’t last? Try putting powder down before. Or, it’s too full coverage and cakey? Try using half foundation half moisturizer.
Highlight - barely visible? Use setting spray before and then apply on top. Over powering? Tone it down by using powder brush (that you’ve already applied face powder with) over top to buff it out.
You could do this with almost every type of product?? I am sure you have TONS of tips for getting the MOST out of products!! And, this might really help those of us who are trying to use what we have even if it’s a trickier product to use. 😊
