What is the differnce between organic and conventional corn in yield ? I love your videos. Please Keep up the good work. Thx for sharing. Greetings from Germany ☺️
Conventional crop use a special synthetic mixture of chemicals and oxidants to provide the needed nutrients to the crop. Think specialized fertilizer with higher nutrient density. Organic crop uses chicken/turkey litter and pig manure to prove the needed nutrients to the crop in a natural way.
I believe the average for Iowa corn this year was 200 and our farm average for organic corn was over 215, same with soybeans it was right at the average for Iowa around 60. Granted there was a lot of places in Iowa that got half of the rain we got so I’m sure that made a big difference. Usually our yields are a little less than a conventional grown crop in our area but not by much! Hope that answers your question.
A pretty wide range because of how spread out our fields but I would anything from 170-190s for early corn and 210-240 for late corn. That’s just a rough rough estimate…
Sitting in that harvester looks so relaxing I don’t know why
