Lake i fish is always muddy! Have found slower presentations work abit better. Have had great luck with the shakey head, very slow. Let it soak just a bit. Work like a dropshot. Great info! Love your approach to explaining how things work. Thank you!
June bug zoom super hog 1/2 oz tungsten weight red glass bead 3.0 straight shank flipping hook pegged my favorite in muddy water and black blue 3/8 oz jig with blue sapphire zoom pro chunk
Thanks for the tips! Got a tournament this weekend on a stained lake and these tips I'm sure will help! Gonna watch your video on what baits you suggest
Fished Pickwick Saturday.. about 1 ft half of visibility.. caught several no bigs tho.. but went into a huge pocket that was Brown.. even though it was warmer I couldn't get them to bite in there. Thinking they wasn't there yet aka fresh
Sup Ron! I did a video last year fishing it in a pond that was pretty dirty and it was definitely the trick to getting bit in late summer! Thanks for always watching
Hi Tyler, Question. My dad and I were fishing an oxbow lake in N. Louisiana in March, water temp around 62, water visibility typically 3-4 ft, but this trip they had just had downpours and there were a couple of drainage pipes gushing into the lake with very muddy water. The muddy water would hug the bank for about 100 yards in whatever direction the wind was blowing day to day. We stayed away from the muddy water on the first day and did not catch many fish, which was odd because typically we catch fish in the clearer water. We happened to fish the muddy water leading up to the actual culverts where the muddy water was flowing in and began catching fish along the bank, and it seemed like the closer we got to the culvert where the water was the muddiest, the more fish we caught. It was the high sediment muddy water like you mentioned. And the bass caught in the muddy water averaged 2-4 lbs. I’ve never seen anything like it. Is there any reason for this? BTW keep doing what you do. Your content it top of my list.
I just recently got out for my first fish of 2022 because our fishing season just started and I was quite successful! Love your vids man! I always learn a little from every video you post! Also I would like your opinion on my newest video because I tested my new GoPro hero 10 for the first time!
I am so turned off by muddy water and I shouldn't be (I guess) but I feel like if I can't see the bait in 1 inch visibility the fish can't either. If you go finesse with a worm, I feel like you would have to drag it across their head for them to know it's even there. I know they feel vibrations with their lateral line but with a worm it seems like it doesn't put off much for the fish to pick up on and you're wasting your time. So, if it's muddy I'm getting loud and cranking, rattle traps, spinner baits and hoping for the best. Forward facing sonar is my next thing I want to get into and maybe that will change my muddy water confidence....at least with that I can see they are actually there and I'm not just chunking and hoping there is fish in front of me.
They can sense things in the water much better than we give them credit for. You can catch bass with zero visibility with neds and shakeyheads around cover
@@GaryAnderson87 Yes sir you're right... it's hard to bring my self to realizing that..... they have to eat no matter what...muddy or clear they have to eat. It's a mind thing I have to get past. To me I relate muddy to getting loud with a rattle traps and cranks with knockers. Tight lines brother!!!!
@@razorbak6783 Yep it's all a mental game. Shad, worms and crawfish don't produce much vibration in the water, yet look at how fat bass are in the spring. Tight lines to you too.
I absolutely love fishing muddy water oh, and my buddy thinks I'm crazy sometimes. Spinnerbaits, swim jigs, chatterbaits, Square bills and of course Whopper ploppers. These lures will get you bitten
Got my butt kicked by some muddy water in VA this weekend after fishing strictly New England clear water for the last three years. I tried the “cole slaw” big blade chatterbait with a white trailer at all speeds and mixed retrieves and just couldn’t find em from the bank.
Yes. I am afraid of muddy water. It's an actual phobia I have. I will cringe & melt at the sight of muddy waters. Kidding. I do have yet to fish any though.
It's always a little challenging determining what to throw in this type of water. Thank you!
I usually topfish in muddy or murky water

That fresh mud can be the death of an area at times
How about tea water ??
I got no rain here for a moon this spring
Sup Tyler. I love a drop shot. Never used if water wasn't clear, now I will. Ty for tips. 👍

Changes in water conditions like a mud line, grass line or even a change in current is a spot for ambushes and somewhere where bass will sit
@@mrs.vasquezz They weren't on the mud line, they were back into the muddy water. No current changes, no grass. That's what made it so odd.

Love this channel thanks for sharing.
I needed this video, as all my local lakes and ponds are choco milk right now! Thank you
Hurry. My favorite is on during the work home. Freaking 12 hours. Ready to watch Tyler
Thanks for always watching Bennie. Means a lot!
Thanks for the info
Thanks for watching William
I fish a mud bottom lake mostly rootbeer and in 20 years I haven't hit any bass in more than 6' of water.

Muddy waters all I’ve ever fished around here. I’m afraid of clear water
You should be lol, used to live up in CT, water can be crystal clear there, you catch at least 20-40 fish a trip 5am-5pm…. Definitely a fun time
I caught my PB smallie in muddy muddy water
Just caught a 6 1/2 pound bass in stained brown water!
Is that alum your talking about?
Maybe :)
@@BassFishingHQ gotcha..lol
Want to see someone's shoulders drop in shear disappointment? me pulling up at the lake with my three jerkbait rods and see chocolate milk lol

I ain’t scared I bangem out better bite they don’t see us coming they can here us so stealthy better for bites❤
I better not be scared of muddy water. Most bodies of water around me are muddy or stained most the year lol.
Same
Muddy mississippi is home
Some of the best bass are in dirty water
I fish in dirty Mississippi High River water and down south u will not catch a fish in it , no bass this is for sure
Yes, I’m afraid of muddy water.
I would much rather fish in stained to muddy water then clear water and time.
