Firstly, an amazing duo. I am about to move from a Westfalia to something with more interior and storage space. I am currently looking at a well maintained, 1984 Le Sharo manual TD. Now that you know what you know ( i.e. the incident), what do we need to do to armor it a bit? They are easier and more attractive to break in and steal compared to a Westy. It worries me but I'm sure there are solutions. I'd welcome any tips that would work well on a Le Sharo. Let me know if you are still as enthusiast with your choice of vehicule.
wOw! You lucky you got it back. People steal those here in NC. I just bought a clean 1990 Winnebago LeSharo Motor home Aug 28,2024 not running for $850.00. I'm using it for eating in it around dinner time for the winter time only. I had it put behind my work place. It's a cool camper. I would love to get it running one day.

They had a nice new house for 2 days and were well on their way to turning it into a pigsty, can't imagine after a couple of weeks, she'd be totaled. Good thing they were majorly stupid and stayed in the neighborhood before that happened. (House MD)

Omg you guys! I absolutely could not believe this was a "true crimes" thing when I saw you driving immediately behind your own freaking RV. What are the chances? Can't even begin to express my relief that you got Polly back. Now onto the fun part: cleaning her up! And finding parking... we've definitely struggled with finding an affordable spot for our old Checker Cab.
This was such a great episode I would have watched it on America's most wanted or something.😊 I wanted to run an idea by you. I'm a 62 year old electric skateboarder. Among other things. And the skateboards that I work on and ride use hub motors like electric scooters. I believe hub motors will be big enough to put on the back of that RV. Soon. With some sort of Bluetooth kit) and all you'll need is a battery and a controller like the skateboard... Watch for these hub motors they're growing in size every year. I love the idea of adding 4x4 to these rigs, and if you could use the engine as a generator (like a Chevy Volt) to get better efficiency that would be amazing!
South on Rt. 53, there's a storage lot you can try to keep Polly in. Otherwise, you can do what my dad did with the converted '48 Dodge bus he had: Keep it at a relative's in the suburbs... if they have space.
What was parking? RVs get $ hit more than a car. Then again I have cars that are as long. I may be buying a parts 88, Please post a video on Parts and repair progress/ difficulties. Its cool to see videos in my area

How long did it take you to scrub the scent of smoke from crack and blunts out of it, afterwards?
