Missing the greatest national hero from my country (Indonesia) "Nyak Dhien". A great woman who led the resistance/guerilla actions against the invader (the Dutch colonial for 25 years (1878-1903). Losses so many battle because The Dutchs were much stronger at that time but she never give up, freedom or died. That's the motto.
Don't mind my bad grammar lol.

I may be Male, but I respect and treat all women as men's equals. Now that I'm older and a little bit wiser, I have a better understanding for and realize that stereotypes are something to be abolished. It used to be that I admired figures like Julius Caesar and Napoleon Bonaparte because I was mesmerized by their power and influence. But I see now, the respect they commanded was through fear. I now idolize the underdogs like Frederick Douglass and the civil rights movement, as well as the warrior women throughout history. Let this be my record for the changing times and the ideals I continue to believe in.

Fans of heroic fantasy who admire strong women would do well to seek out two anthological volumes put out by DAW SF Books and edited by Jessica Amanda Salmonson (*Amazons* in 1979, and *Amazons II* in 1982). She wrote introductions to both volumes detailing many historical examples of the fighting female, and I believe has published an entire amazonic biographical dictionary of her own. 🤩

Wow this was a year ago. About time warrior women and women in general have recognition. Though not a warrior in terms of physical combat, Deborah, wife of Lappidoth, from the Bible was both the prophet and the judge of the entirety of Israel during her time and when an army officer (Barak),ignoring the word God gave to him through her, said he will only fight if she would go with Israels army. She agreed and told him, despite only the soldiers fighting during the battle, that the victory will be at the hands of a woman. The story of Deborah starts in Judges chapter 4 and ends in chapter 5.

Add kentake (i.e. "queen") Amanirenas of Kush, defeated the legions of emperor Augustus and thereby expanded her kingdom! How many other monarchs of a rather smallish kingdom could take on THREE Roman legions including auxiliaries and be victorious? Her legacy lingers in the English female name Candice...

To bad that there are no female warriors in the bible. Deborah,JAEL and the woman of Thebez were all great women, but not actual warriors. Deborah lee the troops to the mountain, but she did not go into battle. JAEL killed Sisera in his sleep after she gave him something to drink. And she kills him by driving a tent peg through his neck using a hammer. And the woman of Thebez killed Abimelech by throwing down a piece of a millstone upon his head from a fatel hight and it broke open his skull. So no female warriors in the bible unfortunately.😔

Eh?? Remember in Bible women are always a second class before and doesn't even have right to be a leader....I'm Jewish person and have read and re read alot of it...I find it unfair for women as well or maybe we don't know if they didn't write it there.

If there were I'm sure they got their stories removed or twisted by the men who translated that book numerous times over the past few thousand years. I mean they couldn't leave Mary Magdalene in there... Women are meant to be seen as weak and evil or easily seduced by Satan according to the patriarchal faiths so... I'm not surprised...

Just because it’s not in the bible doesn’t mean god didn’t bless female warriors I just means the men that wrote the bible as usual only wrote there own beliefs and lied in the process, not to mention the numerous times the bible as been adapted and even downright changed over the years. For all you know a female warrior could have fought beside Moses and he simply forgot to writer her in when he was writing is testimony along with every other warrior he fought beside it’s unlikely but still more likely that the truth of 90% of the words in that book.
