Might sound like that because of all the gear we had loaded. But its actually slicing through pretty well. Alejandro already broke his back a couple years ago and he’s had no issues with pain on these boats.
Interesting vid, and thx for posting. I'm considering that same boat and was concerned on how it would handle rough seas. Looks like it did well (saw your return vid, too, with a rougher ride (and customs, too). Question is how rough did your passengers feel the ride was (I'll have some ladies on board and and uncomfortable ride with them gets me beat up.
These guys have a well stocked retail store they do it right I’ve been there. Even if you’re not decided about water toys, you should check it out. It’s just a very unique destination if you are a local or visitor.
Glad to see you guys clear customs. So many Americans just sneak in and anchor off shore and dingy in. Glad to see some Americans have respect for the Bahamas' border, too bad so many people don't have respect for your borders.
Great content - would love to see the customs boarding details . For the passengers in the rough sea are they better standing to take the waves or is the seats good enough to protect from the waves
It took about two hours with these conditions. The weekend after I returned and on the way back it was flat. We crossed back in about an hour and fifteen.
The thing with Axopars is you have to know how to trim them properly to avoid the pounding. We’ve loved them from the first day because of their handling.
@@yachtbros Just so you know they can't make you turn them off, your in public and have a 1st amendment right to video. But with that said, pissing them off might not be the best idea either. :)
@@topshelf321 we weren’t entirely sure and technically we were in a Coast Guard inspection area where apparently its not allowed. Adrian isn’t a US citizen yet so we didn’t want to cause him any unnecessary trouble.
@@yachtbros I get GoPro affect and it clearly was ugly out there. But agin I've been a lot a lot of other boats that wouldn't be slamming like that. You can here it hit and everything rattle. invincible, seavee, seahunter just to name a few.
this is already dumb.... any boat will make it there... do it in a kayak, and i never saw any rough seas... looked pretty normal, would be fine taking a 19ft yamaha ar190 on that sea
The camera never does it justice and since we crossed alone we didn't have another boat next to us to use as reference. It was definitely 4 to 6 on the way there and 6 to 8 on the way back.
@@yachtbros I have a 2021 with twins. Even though I live in California I have dreamed of trailering it to Florida to head out to the Bahamas. Might add the AC before I give it a try. Thanks for input.
I have done it in a 19’ Wellcraft with an Evinrude 135 it’s only about 40 miles from Palm Beach inlet till you’re in the Bahamas , I don’t know why everybody says you need twins to make it. Just keep your motor well-maintained today’s marine engines are highly reliable. You wouldn’t be nervous about driving your car 40 miles with only one motor right? Of course take precautions make sure you have a working marine VHF and your sea tow membership is up-to-date

Damn that looks rougher than some 22 footer CC.
It looks worse than it was. Also, we really loaded up every inch of the boat with heavy toys, so a lot of banging because of that.
