I love when you say “our pantry is like Duolingo”! Having been in an interracial relationship for decades, I want to tell you that unless you make a conscious effort to study and speak the other person’s language, it won’t happen. Don’t count on the other person to teach you bc it’s a skill to teach a language. But as long as you have a common language you can communicate in, the most important thing is to do your utmost to be loving even when it’s hard. Best wishes to you and disses to the haters. ❤

You've mentioned Yoo's parents (and I really hope they come around sooner rather than later) but I'm curious how you stop their hurtful comments from getting to you? Or at what point do you say, okay I'm gonna just love you from a distance rather than expending too much energy trying to force you to like me? I hope this comment doesnt come across too harsh or anything!
Actually, this is a great question cause that’s what we did for a bit. We distanced ourselves and now I have a wonderful building relationship with my in laws especially my MIL. I love her to pieces and she doesn’t hesitate to put Yoo in his place when it comes to me lol. Also, she’s been checking in on me and loving on Kaya so much. I couldn’t have asked for a better MIL💕 I’ve met so much more of his family whether it’s in person or over video chat. I feel so welcomed now & I cannot wait to take Kaya to see them in Korea 🤗

I personally like watching interracial couples like you guys. I look at it this way. Love has no nationality. If you love someone it doesn't matter what country they come from what race they are. If you guys are happy and love each other that's all that matters. I know a lot of people still feel that we should stay with our own race but this is now 2024 and people need to move on from all the racism stuff or the old-fashioned culture things and that's just my personal opinion. I think you guys are a cute couple and I'm really sorry his parents feel the way they do about your relationship. Hopefully things will get better there.
