I’m not surprised with the attitudes of the police, because they’re also an arm of Tinubu’s government. First the government spokesman accused Peter Obi and the IPOB people of sponsoring the end bad government protests even before it started and when the NLC accused the police of high handedness they’re now coming for the leadership. Perhaps he didn't want to seem too antagonistic to the regime that's why he called for calm.
