Like Gogurt but to stay...
@@DariusFoolStuff I don't get this line, help?
@@EllieBergeron92 gogurt is a type of yogurt. the joke is "go" gurt as in going, but hes saying gogurt but to stay. its just wordplay
@@EllieBergeron92 "Go-gurt" is a type of yogurt that you take with you. It can "GO" with you. GO + YOGURT = GOGURT. He is an idiot, so he fails to understand that YOGURT is the original word, which "gogurt" is derived from.
Love Jordan putting that Shining reference there at the end
In retrospect his towards horror was inevitable. SO many KnP sketches end with a turn towards horror.
@@RXdash78 yeah 1000%. It's awesome to go back and see and appreciate:)
In the beginning too, room 237.
Danish treat, must be from Brussels. Such a delightful little joke
Can you believe it? It all comes with the room 😮
One of my favorite K&P sketches!
Songs name at the end?
i didn't understand it
@@imranhq13 It's just a mix of absurd/surreal humour, tied with a reference to The Shining as the ending's plot twist.
@@CosmicTeapot thanks
@@imranhq13 it’s basically just a guy building up this continental breakfast to be something more extravagant than it actually is. He then despairs because he has never experienced such joy nor will he ever again (presumably). Then at the end, it’s a reference to “The Shining” implying that this poor unfortunate soul’s spirit is condemned to spend all of eternity in the hotel. Mostly it’s just supposed to be as ridiculous and absurd as possible. Hope this helps.
I love being incontinent 😂😂😂😂
It’s easy to see from “Continental Breakfast”, the Family Matters sketch, and the Make-a-Wish episode how Jordan Peele made a smooth transition from comedy to horror!
ILL HAVE WHAT IM HAVING
That has to be one of the most genius lines I've ever seen in a sketch. Great reference, and completely in line with the character. It's almost like they thought of that line and wrote the whole sketch just to contain it.
Me a man in my 30s had this misunderstanding that Continental breakfast is like a Michelin star restaurant but endorsed by Continental tyres when it meets a very specific criteria.
“But sir don’t you know that you’ve … always been here ? 😊😏”
A delight to the senses! Isn't my friend, isn't it!? 😂
"a fapoon" 😅😭
What will the Germans think of next? 😂😂😂
Spork
One of the funniest skits ever created
Well, la-di-da! 😂
EUROPEAN STYLE
Well yeah, clue was in the name
The unbridled joy is infectious! 😂🎉🎉🎉
Tune at the end, Waltzing in Dreamland - Alan Moorhouse
He says "i love being incontinent" 😂😂😂
In-continent, maybe?
@@productdesign9626it's a pun, he did mean being in continent but at the same time he is being incontinent (having no self control) thus for him it is a delight of senses.
“I’ll have what i’m having!”
Like gogurt, but to stay is my favorite line
“I’ll have what I’m having”
On behalf of Germany, I as a German will gladly accept the concept of having invented the fapoon; thank you, thank you, you’re welcome
Picks up a grape”what a tiny plum”
Need a tee with his face on it and the capion "A taste of Europine" "I'll have what I'm having," and "I love being incontinent."
I like to tell myself this was his first ever role that he and his friends shot for fun. Idk why but it makes this so much more amusing to me
This is a masterpiece
Mr Bean did it first without dialogue, but I still love it.
You sir are a legend
paper and everything
Thankyou. And thank YOU Dave Landau 😂
..."Yes, Like Go-Gurt But to Stay...If I May Be So Bold Sir!"...!!!
The shining
Anyone else has this skit seared into their brain. I use a line from this like weekly 😭.
“Like go-gurt but to stay”
And here I thought he was going to have trouble using the bathroom afterwards 😅
Froot loops and Muffins
ahh... yes
such foreign tastes
One of the best
room 237 !!
I'm not hungry anymore 😅
this is high art
If you don't have a muffin, have you really eaten a hotel breakfast? 😂
When…in…Rome.
Ah, garçon, one admission for the continental breakfast
It’s like go-gurt but to stay.
Honestly, these are the typical folk you find at a free continental breakfast
Some fear and loathing vibes with this one
Little sinister at the end, but I wish I enjoyed life as much as this character did
So that's how Mr. Peele eats a banana
I can excuse table manners, and biting into a banana peel, but greek yogurt without honey!? We have rules put in place for a reason!
That ending is definitely from the Shining.
like go-gurt, but stay.
"but TO stay"
@All the Europine countries
Yes maym I’m nocturnal too
Chappelle show “bud light” version
Euro"pie"an? 😂
whats the name of this character?
I LOVE BEING INCONTINENT
i'm sorry, as dumb as this sounds, though I enjoyed watching this somehow, can someone help explain the point of this sketch?
It's just that this guy is taking such incredible joy in something so mundane and ordinary. Then he despairs, possibly because he's never experienced such delight, nor will he ever again. Then at the end it's a The Shining reference, where the man's spirit is doomed to spend eternity in the hotel. Mostly it's just an over-the-top sketch lol
I think it’s just a play on the fact that the term “continental breakfast” sounds a lot fancier than it actually is.
The continental breakfast is the most boring breakfast that one can think of, yet this guy is totally excited about it.
thank you for all the answers!
As a kid when me and my family went to hotels and they served a “continental breakfast” I used to get super excited until I saw that it’s basically just a bunch of stale pastries, raw fruits and cereals. Occasionally they might have a waffle iron. I would always be disappointed. 😂😂😂
💜👍🤣
It's really sad when you get the memo.
It’s not a spork, it’s a fapoon.
Fort Sam Houston 🎉 self care
I don't get it! is he in a psyco ward?
Don't you know that you've... always been here?
Affirmative action
Bruh i never understood the point of this sketch, no matter how many times i watch it. Or is it the point that there's no point of this sketch?
The point is that he’s always been there as a guest ig like the shinning trapped enjoying the food/breakfast
The point is when you do something fancier than your usual for the first time and even the simple things, like getting a hot towel on the plane, seem fancy just because it's foreign to you. Lots of people have never travelled outside of their country before so it's relatable if you're traveling for the first time.
Though the twist at the end that shows how this guy's been there forever is probably besides the point of the skit.
The sketch is a shining reference. This and the one with the plane. Their endings are references of the movie. Watch the movie i guess
I hate that they had to go mainstream and "sell out" but i'm happy for them and understand the benefits and why they decided to not stay small.
How did they go mainstream?
Don't equate popularity with "selling out." Key & Peele continue to create fantastic art.
@@PotatoPatatoVonSpudsworth this is true
I've lost brain cells...
i feel for you... but look a lil deeper
I've found some. They were yours. They are mine now.
