I noticed how the clean fascia didn't distract from the scenery, and no valance above either. This gave the room an open feeling and made the railroad seem to go on and on. Thanks for the sweeping pan shots. This was a labor of love and craftsmanship. I did have to mute the sound after about 30 seconds, but I watched the whole thing to enjoy such fantastic modeling.

The first thing I noticed was the "perfect" amount of weathering and dust on the train cars... then the buildings including the Trump Tower... ha, ha? Then the shades drawn at different levels. Think I saw a "lady" with a rock in her shoe. Fantastic stuff. The landscape seems American south-west, but the music seemed more Appalachian. Sorry, but some of the trees stuck out like sore thumbs. Really nice work, layout looks fantastic. I'm trying to decide if I want to go O scale narrow gauge or HO narrow gauge for a layout. This makes me like O scale a lot more. HO is getting increasingly difficult to see.
I was in the same spot. I have like 300 feet of HO track, two HO steam engines (one DCC, one regular), a ton of O scale buildings, people, and accessories, three O scale steam engines, and a DCC system. I do not like the O scale 3 rail, at all, but I do like that O scale allows for more detail. I have decided to convert my HO scale engines to On30 and use my HO track (with some mods), along with the O scale buildings. I will probably build my layout at about 4 or 5 foot elevation for the On30, and even add the narrower mining track using N scale track. This will allow me to use a three rail O scale train at an elevation where the track is not visible-so I can hide the three rails. Also will allow me to still work in my shop without taking up all the space. Looking also at a "dead' rail" conversion for the O scale engines so I can use them on two rail track. Maybe have a regular gauge O track servicing the On30 towns at the same level. Otherwise, the three rail can go up higher, like I mentioned. Of course, there's also G scale, but that takes up a lot of space.

On30 as stated above is a narrow gauge. It's O scale (O), narrow gauge (n), 30 inches (30) It's small enough that it runs on HO gauge track and Bachmann has produced a *lot* of good On30 equipment in the past decade
