    Thanks for the 100 hr review Robbo and I'm glad your happy.
    I just want to mention that I think the stiffer springs have reduced your plush feeling along with your possible weight loss ,due to so much training. - hence now they are not as plush. The stock springs with my 14 stone + kit are simply the best forks I've ever ever had on a bike. I've ridden Romaniacs 3 times ,ssdt X3 ,S2S , SEEC , BTC , Brit extreme , Scott trial events, centre championship event wins etc all my life continually. I've run modern bikes from an RR , Xtrainers ,EXC ,SXF , YZ. My last RR factory had a revalved front end. I know it sounds crazy for the low price , but it's simply true. The GPX forks are the most plush , ground tracking ,comfortable and confidence inspiring forks I have ever ever owned. They are simply outstanding . Championship rider Aaron Smith rode the bike 3 weeks ago and he gave a video review of the stock bike and made special reference to the superb front suspension. I run totally stock forks with new seals . I've got the compression completely wound off and a tiny tiny amount of rebound and these are very plush at the top and middle. I don't feel the small bumps , there is no jarring , no negatives. They are fast moving and track the floor beautifully. No bottoming out. These would be at home on a KTM 6 days. They significantly reduce fatigue. It just soaks up all the stones and bumps brilliantly. If anyone wants to test a set of stock GPX forks then contact me and I'll set up a test ride. I believe these springsbhave created this non plush feel. Stock are amazing. Sorry for waffling , but I want to get this across 👍😊. Yes I know im the importer ,but im the first person to be fair and balanced about Gpx . As I said before , at 224cc they are not as fast as a KTM race bike but the forks are as good as anything out there ❤️ and for me of a leading feature of this bike if you want to race it. The forks just make riding this bike easy.

      I’m an American rider. I typically ride fairly slow. I’m 145lb and 5”11. My typical ride is about 10-15 mph. I enjoy the nasty stuff and on occasion when we go on group rides we kick it up to a slightly faster pace.I currently ride a kawi klx300, which while not an awful bike just isn’t what I want. Mostly my issues lie in the motor. It simply doesn’t lug as hard as I’d like. When you get it stirred up it’s a solid running motor. Would this be a good alternative?😊

    The big issue I've seen with the knock off Rental bars is they tend to snap rather than bend on bigger hits.
    Hopefully GPX develop a hotter pipe for these at some point, an FMF Fatty reaaaally opens up a WR200 which is a fairly similar engine.

      The first set of bars I had just bent in a heavy crash. Hence I got the same brand from same supplier.

    How does the power compare to some of the ktm's is it like a 150exc or 200exc? Something close to them? And did you do anything power wise that improved it?

    Hi Robbo!!! super a great and honestly review from someone that properly used the bike and based their comments in mechanically facts and not only in feelings. Really difficult to find this quality content on internet. So, I’m looking for this bike but not for enduro/trails purpose but for motocross use (totally amateur ride, no competition, just for fun). You think it could handle well with the stock suspension? I know you are a more enduro guy, but what you think about it? I’m used to ride CR125R and RM125, old bikes also with no suspension preparation…. And as a brand new YZ125 is the double of the price of the GPX and I just can’t take secondhand bikes anymore (I’m done with crappy old destroyed bikes, with no more spare parts and every ride is a new issue to deal with… I’m thinking that this could be a real good option for me.

    The local gpx dealer put husky 300 plastic kit and it fit perfectly. That was a gpx from 2 or 3 years ago? I thought it’s the same bike as now but must check again.

      Up to 2019 it was the Husky plastic kit. Later use KTM 2020 onwards kit with KTM rad louvres.

    Hello.
    I have been following the channel for a long time, especially the Gpx videos. In my country the gpx 250 is around £2,781 ор 3290 euros new but sold under another name HMC 250 2t. I want to do a tour of 2700 km of mountain driving, so I am interested in whether it would last without a problem and how many hours are needed for piston rebuilding with normal driving (sorry for my english). :D

    • @RobboRobinson
      @RobboRobinson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      200hrs no problem before looking at a piston change. mix oil 50-1 use fully synthetic. Many guys have some very high hours on these engines.

      Easy contact GPX Moto UK. Also loads of engine stuff online like aliexpress. Usual stuff like brake pads, wheel bearing sprockets are Ktm fitment , front sprocket YZ as its a Yam engine. KTM 2020 on plastics will fit too.

    After all the modifications and money you spent on this bike you find hard to admit it wasn’t worth it. I guess it’s better to spend money on second hand beta or sherco

    • @RobboRobinson
      @RobboRobinson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      If I’d spent money on a secondhand Beta or Sherco I’d be spending even more money on servicing and repairs. The point of this bike was for bike fitness. A brand new bike that has filled the gap I wanted. Modifications were mostly what I would do with any bike and kept to a budget. For the amount of time I’ve put on this bike it’s paying off and I have fun on it. I would always say buy the best you can afford. I have one of the best bikes already for hard enduro a KTM 300. I don’t need two of them at £9.5K each. But an extra bike at £5k that feels much like a KTM in its handling and can go twice as far between piston changes has not broke down and is cheaper in parts, not that I’ve needed any other than brake pads , wheel bearings , front sprockets , chain & guides & swingarm bearings is a win win for me. If I’d bought a secondhand bike I’d most likely be in for a full engine rebuilt now at £900 and whatever else it might need. If you think it’s better to buy secondhand bikes then do that. Personally I’d always try and buy new unless i’d plan on doing a full ground up rebuild on the purchase or I know the bike is low hours. This I am doing at the moment on another project. Secondhand bikes can be risky. The GPX bike is a trail bike after all and probably from a dirt bike riders perspective in the £5k bracket is probably best of the bunch.

      Second hand sherco doesnt prove it is that good, the plastic sparepart very hard to find the replacement (must buy thr original ones), but with this bike even with custom husq body it fit perfectly almost thought itwas husq if not looking to fr suspension.
