    As always I truly appreciate you sharing your experience and saving many of us a lot of trial and error! I don’t own any Align birds but the concepts cross over to other birds that I do own.

      And I greatly appreciate you always watching and commenting! Makes a huge difference! Exactly! It does go over to many helicopters it’s all the same concept with thrust bearings inside outside bearings and so on. The same basic idea and may be a few things different but the majority of it is the same.

    Can someone point me to a video on how to change the head on a 470? Really to switch from the plastic version to the metal.
    Thanks in advance!

    Happy you found that bearing that wanted to fly without the rest of the heli!!!

    Man I’m in love with the m2. Do you have a 400-500 size suggestion?. I think I’m addicted now xD.+ how can i setup the m2 or any heli using the tx16s because i will buy the sfhss receiver

      I would highly recommend the Align 470! The LP is a great price and parts are still cheap and flys so much bigger then it really is. If you send me a email choppers992@hotmail.com I can send you a file for the M2 but I use DSMX satellites so if you want to use SFHSS it’s will be a different setup.

    Hi, I have a question about the Align Trex 470 LM. In the instruction manual I found that the thrust bearings and washers have to be inspected for replacement after 20 flights. I made 20 flight with the heli, should I inspect these parts, and how do I know if they must be replaced ? Oh yes, I am still in the learning phase, so I do not fly hard 3D.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      20 flights is a little too soon for inspection and or replacement. If you are a normal flyer or mild 3-D are usually pull valley copter part every hundred flights and replace the banks. If you are a smack hard-core 3-D pilot I recommend replacing them every 40 to 50 flights. The way you can tell if the bearings are bad is if you have any kind of notch or greediness to them.

    Great video, man. That is one odd size hex driver, 1.27 mm. Is that included in the 470LP kit? Are there any other odd size hex drivers needed for the assembly?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Yes it is a oddball driver. Yes the 470 Kit comes with the 1.27mm driver. It’s a tiny one but works great. That’s what I used to build mine but bought a full kit after. With helis you can never have to many drivers! Lol

    • @Abszurdista-fatalista
      @Abszurdista-fatalista 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 that's good that it's included. I've already checked where to get one from if wasn't included. I'm gonna get me an Align T-Rex 470LP, hence the question. Not sure yet what radio to get, I've been looking at the Radiomaster TX16S or the similar one from Jumper. What's your opinion on these? That way I could use it with my 230s V2, too. I'm getting fed up with that DXe radio not being able to adjust travel. I'd have to buy the programming cable plus shipping without the guarantee I can actually adjust what I want.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wasn’t sure that it came with one either so I ordered a driver say and then when I open the box I said man that’s nice it comes with one. I have an on boxing video of the LP back on my channel a little bit if you want to see all that is included. I have the TX16S and it is a fantastic radio! I am personally a Spektrum fan and been flying Spektrum for many years. The TX16S is nice because it will bind it to anything. Bye! If you’ve never done any kind of programming or radio set up open TX is honestly a pain! That will be my only negative comment or downfall is the programming. They give you for basic channels and you have to do everything else. If you don’t mind that then 100% go with the TX16S it’s the best radio and deal you can get out there for the money. Also do yourself a favor and invest in a good charger! I personally recommend the ISDT D2 incredible charger for the money will do anything and everything you’ll ever want and can charge two batteries at one time. The 470 L is an incredible kit incredible helicopter and you will not be disappointed! I guarantee you want to start flying that bad boy you will never touch your 230 again lol

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 Thanks for sharing your experience with the 470 and the TX16S. An other question I'd like to ask you: If a transmitter only supports a let's say 120° swashplate, but a given heli has a 135° swashplate, can a FBL-controller compensate for that and calculate internally the servo output signals to match everything for that 135° swashplate? To put it in an other way: If one can select heli mode in a transmitter (let's say it's that 120° swashplate type only), will a FBL-controller make it work with a swashplate of a different type (135, 140°)? Or is it not possible, because the FBL-controller isnt capable of doing so and thus we have to get a tx that can support 135 in order to get a 135 swashplate to work?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Abszurdista-fatalista OK so when you set up a helicopter in the radio you set it up with swashplate one servo 90°. If you are using the TX16S you don’t even set up helicopter. The FBL does everything all your programming all your set up is done in the FBL the radio is just there to give it the six channel input that it needs. Your throttle curve pitch curve input for servos. If you go back on the channel a little bit you will see I do a set up video for spektrum and four radio master with the 470.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The plastic is great quality it is a carbon infused plastic like the M2 kind of but very strong. This one was slammed into the ground pretty hard and it broke one blade grip the skids and blades and really that was a very christ how it held up in a crash. Most likely it’s a bearing problem. Did it happen after you rebuilt it? Maybe some Loctite got down inside the bearing which is what usually happens and after a while it locks themselves together and creates a sticky or Nachi feeling. And it will cause the helicopter to shake at low speeds and high speeds I’ve seen it do it both ways
