Hi Robert! Just wanted to say that it was the "loser" video that brought me in, but I'm staying for the tech content too. That said, I think you've probably got a relatively short window of time where you could pivot your channel to your financial advantage to be, say, 60% tech and 40% life updates. I hope you do because I think you could do really well out of that kind of shift in focus, while still remaining true to your tech roots. All the best. 👍
I was evicted one month ago. I mean, I got the message one month ago, one day of thinking, 3 days next calling to some places, 2 weeks ago I moved to another UE country, I have a room from my work agency, I have work. Everything is ok, after work I'm starting my startup. Friendly people, all taxes payed, nice weather.
I think I know how you feel. I'm a 33 dev and a lot of people of our age feel like there's not much benefit to working hard and that there's little hope of a better future. I live in South Africa where either, you have to be a highly paid professional or an entrepreneur, or you will basically be very poor. It's concerning to hear talk of "affordable housing" and so on. Our government has been trying this for decades, with over 5 million units built and given to people since 1994. However, the amount of people who live in homemade tin shacks has not decreased. What I see in Canada is far too familiar. It's not a lack of affordable housing, it's a lack of people that can afford houses.
I don't have set times yet. It takes me an unpredictably long amount of time to set up the streaming setup each time. Throughout the week, I have to move around and use my streaming setup for other filming/recording stuff. Once I have some dedicated equipment for streaming, I can probably start sticking to a schedule.
@RobertElderSoftware What equipment/setup would you need? Why not make a mini business plan and post a gofundme? Capitalize on the growing community. Strike while the iron is hot as they say. Looking forward to dedicated time slots.
@@dustinscott1356 Yeah, I agree. I need to keep up the momentum, but a lot of stuff is in flux at the moment. Come February, I either have to be prepared to try and win my eviction hearing, or I have to move out, and there would be a ton of logistics to that. For now, I'm going to try to keep up the momentum with regular long form videos. If I did a gofundme, I'd have to provide something in return. The YT revenue is up significantly this month, and if that continues for even a couple months I might be able to fund some better equipment with that.
I don’t mean to criticize but merely point out that you seem to have a lot of limiting beliefs which correspond with your life situation. For instance, there are a lot of people worth listening to who aren’t big and famous. Like you. And me! I’m a transformational life coach, I’m starting my own TH-cam channel and I would be happy to be your first guest. It would be fun to get to the bottom of these beliefs of yours. 🤩😅
Maybe you could accept crypto donations in stable coins, so the crypto chads could flex with some coin your way, and you could feel their tech-bro love? Just my .02 Satoshi.
Thank you very much to all the super-chatters who made this livestream possible!

You're a breath of fresh air on TH-cam
This exponential rate increase will leave you needing to take a dump eventually. I recommend a 5 gallon bucket so you can continue streaming.
Use restream to stream to multiple platforms
You don't need another computer
