Her name is Zhao Xiaoli. She is known to take discarded items like wood, furniture, windows, old tv, bottles etc and creates paintings on them as well as her large oil paintings. As saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure." She learned painting with Ukrainian painter Mykhailo Guida. These are not splash paintings. The splash is just an under painting technique and later she paints on top the details using oils and maybe using other mixed media but is known for oil painting.

I think she treats it more like a piece of performance art where the aesthetics of the videography are just as important as the finished work. Not all art has to be strictly on canvas, the video making is an art in its own right.
