I agree for the most part. The azerite traits are really what is heavily bringing this expansion down due to both the fact that the traits are really really boring but also combined with the fact that these traits are literally the only form of character development/progression we have in BFA. From Legion we lost alot of systems that allowed us to alter and maximise our gameplay for any current situation but in BFA it seems all of that is just gone. Most specs play exactly the same way when they start leveling at 110 as they will atleast until after the first raid tier and that in my opinion is not ok. We are playing an MMORPG after all and if all the character progression we get is in the form of simply higher numbers on the same spells/rotations we have been using since 110 the actual gameplay is not interesting at all and that is very dangerous long term. I sincerely hope that Blizzard just decides to up the ante on the traits next patch by alot. If the traits are made to be gameplay/decision altering and fun I think BFA will be a great expansion all in all, even though Blizzard has made some choices that make absolutely no sense.
nah azerite traits offer so much customization compared to legendaries in legion. In legion you just take your best 2 legos, but in bfa there are so many combos that work and so many traits that alter gameplay in a significant way. At least for my class.
That really was not my point but I will play along. Compared to losing artifact weapons, tier sets and legendaries, only gaining these azerite traits is a major loss however you put it and the fact that these traits are super boring and does in most cases not alter anything you do I think my previous point still stands. I am however interested in what traits you think alter gameplay significantly, could you name a few and what they do? From the spreadsheet I've seen with ALL the traits there are barely any that alter what you would do anyway so I'll be very interested in hearing your argument about that. All in all the azerite traits we have now is not nearly enough character progression for most people, combined with the fact that the whole game is being dumbed down to basicly "Equip highest ilvl" There is simply not enough interesting gameplay or decision making left after you have spent only a couple hours on your spec and in the long run that is just boring. But as I said, hoping Blizz will do some major reworking of the traits in coming patches.
I have to pick on a point you made, that the game is being "dumbed down" to that we just equip highest ilvl. Isn't that what people were crying about like half the Legion-expansion? that its redicolous how secondary stats are so powerful that when we get new gear drops, we just feel bad because it might be useless, even if its "higher tier" gear. I remember that being one of the major problems the game had over legion and now in my opinion blizzard finally fixed it. I too hope that the traits will get buffed and/or reworked so that they actually make a difference in gameplay, which would offer us the choice of gameplay we want to have, but i dont think being able to "just" equip the highest ilvl is a problem, but a solution. I totally agree on the other points you made.
Well sure with the broken titanforging system I can see your point. But utlimately if people had to choose between more room for decision making and character optimisation or simply always equip highest ilvl most people will go for the first choice. We are playing an MMORPG and character progression and minmaxing is a huge part of the game. All of that is now effectively gone barring trinkets. W game where you simply put on highest ilvl and never change playstyle will get extremely boring, combined with the fact that most specs gameplay is the same from 110 through atleast the first raid and that is BORING. Nobody wants to play wow if all you gain is higher numbers. We need optimization options, gameplay changing options and generally alot better progression than it seems we are getting in BFA. I generally agree with your point, I just think Blizz could and should have done a way better job of fixing the issue while leaving decision making and optimization to us players. Hopefully they will change alot of their nonsensical systems like Master loot and secondary stats. I agree that secondaries were way too powerful in Legion but there is a middle ground. Instead of gutting all secondaries they should just have nerfed them a bit. That way we would still be able to build a "haste build" for example but now we can't build anything and all we do is check ilvl and equip highest, That is what i meant by dumbing down of the game and im my opinion that is way too boring for an MMORPG and especially WOW.
That was exactly my point. Compared to Legion and in fact most other expansions there is simply not enough (if any at all) meaningful character progression or decision making in BFA. However IF they would make the azerite traits much more gameplay altering and fun I see great potential in the system, my only problem right now is that with gutted secondary stats, no gearswapping in m+ combined with the fact that our classes/specs don't really get any progression outside of raw numbers that is simply neither fun nor interactive gameplay.
Sometimes i forget i have the necklace, it isn’t bringing such a big impact for me... i rather just avoid it tbh, less grind and more time to have fun instead.
I have a couple problems with BFA. 1) the heart of zeroth scales with reputations. Meaning when you level an alt, you're naturally going to be at a disadvantage unless you aim to exalt all of your alts with all of the reputations. 2) the reputation gains. Champions of Azeroth and Tortallan in particular. You could probably earn 1000 of each per day, which isn't bad, unless you take into account quest lines for these reputations are near non-existent. Sure, pathfinder isn't really time gated but when you get 1000'ish rep a day, the CoA rep alone will keep the majority of players grounded until at least october.
Grounded untill October? Lol pathfinder part1 doesn't give flying you need pathfinder part1 and part2 and part2 won't be out for another year or so. You shouldn't try to get flying anytime soon.
@@arthasmenethil7208 what are you even talking about I'm not saying if it's good or not I'm just stating the facts pathfinder part 2 ain't out yet you won't be able to fly with only part1 fuck off mate.
I agree on most of it. I really hoped that azerite gear would change class playstyle like tier sets used to do( I think not having them is gonna hurt on the long run, felt good to have your rotation changed during an expansion) also the issue I'm having is we're getting gear that we're not even coming close to max out with the traits, and by the time we can we'll probably have changed that piece
I'm actually enjoying the leveling content and I'm not in a rush to get to 120 I had something like 13 level 110's half decently geared. I've been playing for 13 years and I rushed 2 level cap in previous expansions many times. But I can honestly say this time around I'm just enjoying taking my time I enjoy the feel of the zones the sound the different musical pieces the Ambiance everything it's really neat. Anyhow my point that I was trying to make was that years ago the journey was more enjoyable then the destination and people started seeking out good and game content because the journey was so much fun they didn't want it to have been for nothing and having good endgame means you can continue the journey but in a different direction.
@@polas057 Glad I'm not alone. I think as I said too many people lost the focus of what the fun is supposed to actually be in a game. It's an Mmo-RPG People forget the RPG part. To immerse yourself in a fantasy world and setting and partly become your character.
@@leonardceres9061, agreed! I play WoW every now and then. Came back a bit before Pre-release and had played perhaps 2 months of WoD. Not interested in quick leveling, but I am honestly enjoying the path. I love the lore and going into it slowly allows me to enjoy it all even more. Not necessarily RPG, but there is awareness of a sick Shaman walking around being the champion of Azeroth :)
Thing that are ruining this xpac for me. Glitches in the world that get my character stuck in the ground. World quests glitches out. Missions tables and time gating are back. Azarite gear that take forever to unlock all traits that are lack luster (specially in alts that you don’t want to sink that much time into like your main). The big lack of weapon drops in dungeons. All gear looks the same from 110-120. Having to unlock flight paths through time gating on opposing faction continent. Oh and scaling. My 120 with 340ilvl feels weaker than my 113. I’m sure I’m missing something here. Don’t get me wrong I’m having fun but there would have been quite a few things I would have changed before release if I had a say at Blizz.
But I thought thats why you picked a warlock for new spells. The only issue is leveling the heart being so hard to level up its good to see arcane mage on top of dps also
I would hold off on Azurite trait judgement until we see what's on the raid gears and other high content gear. We only have up to Mythic 0 open right now after all.
You’re not going to like this but we actually already know the mythic+ azerite traits and the first raid tier traits as well and they’re again a bunch of passives. I have leveled up 4 classes to max level now and on all of them the class specific traits are not even best in slot in terms of numbers and dps so you’re not even bothered taking them. Guess will have to wait up until patch 8.1.
They have been trying to come up with systems that can continue progression and give options in how your character is played. Tier sets and artifacts caused a few issues with either gearing, RNG, and in most cases did not offer much of a choice. Overall, I think anything related to gear for choice is a bad idea. Things that change your rotation, priorities, add a proc, or add additional perks, etc. are much better suited the talent tree. They could also go wild and expand the customization like glyphs used to do around MoP. Although these things were either nerfed or needed work, there was an idea for a warlock to tank and for shadow to have a dotless spec. Remember the talent Gladiator's Stance, whose idea it was to transform an ability, alter stats by a percentage and allow a prot warrior to dps? These fundamental choices in how your character played are better suited for a choice between two options (instead of three... more like a toggle), but they really open up the possibilities of a spec. Imagine if you could toggle a talent and SW: Pain and Vampiric Touch transform in straight damage abilities that alter how your rotation works. Imagine if you could toggle a choice and allow Enhancement shaman to equip a shield and tank? The only other kind of "progression" at max level comes from stat increases, whether it is an artifact talent that increases the damage of one of your spells or a new piece of gear. Why not separate the two entirely, leaving progression to gear and choice to talents? Wouldn't this be a better way to go instead of continuing to mix the two?
Battle for Azeroth is great! Except... * Gutted classes * Lackluster Azerite traits that in no way can make up for loss of legendaries, artifact traits and tier sets * Fucked up secondaries - classes going from 25% to 5% haste, my Frost Mage is good 18% crit away from Shattercap and that's already playing at like 3% haste... * World scaling. Open world content is harder than dungeons at 120. Open world content is harder at 120 than at 115 etc... WTF blizz?
The Scaling has nothing to do with the difficulty curve. It always has been like this. When you level up, your scaling of your attributes changes. You need more secondary stats for the same effect. When you come with an overgeared char, the difficulty curve always went from extremly easy to difficult. This effect is not that strong when you play a normal geared character like freshly boosted ones. For them, their is pretty much no curve
everything you said is true, especially about the azerite gear being a letdown, but people should be more angry imo. and there are other things that blizzard have been lagging behind on for years. such as their reputation grinds NOT being account wide when every other decent mmo has had better reputation systems for a decade or more. SWTOR as the most obvious example. another thing which turns out to be a highly contentious subject even though some claim to not care -- flight. they keep gating it making us wait for months and its just stupid. but way too many people are way too compliant and just accept whatever is thrown at them, then tell anyone that complains to "go play something else" which is self detrimental whether they realize it or not. oh almost forgot: all the mob scaling. thats gotta change too. i knew theyd do that sooner or later when they first announced it in wod when they said they wouldnt do it..but here we are.
The fact that there is 0 character progression after level 100 is a disgrace in my opinion. Im waiting for the m+ and raid Azerite parts but if those look the same as the +0 mythic ones blizzard is going to have a big problem with unhappy players.
I gotta say i agree with most of this the Azerite armor traits do pretty much just plain suck and the lack of secondary stats like haste, mastery etc really blows. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the AP lvl required to unlock them as I have acquired pieces that are the exact same slot and item lvl but one requires higher AP lvl for traits than the other. Many of the traits seem extremely underpowered, one of the pieces I got the best choice for the 2nd trait was a mere 64 haste and 32 avoidance whoopdy do da day thanks blizz
If 8.1 is as bad as 6.1, bfa will be wod 2.0. There isnt a single piece of gear in the dungeon journal that changes how i play my class. No tier sets, no legendaries, boring traits,... I really hope it turns out better but Im already starting to get bored. I fear for it. Edit: Remember: people enjoyed wod for the first month too.
true, the reward structure around them sucked; but they themselve were interesting. And in bfa there is 0 replacement for them. not even a low drop legendary from uldir or something
Honestly, the one issue I have with the expansion, more than the azerite traits being lackluster, which I 100%agree on btw, is azerite itself. My neckpiece is already level 18, which is, I believe, the highest from anyone on my raid team and a fairly respectable place to be at a week after launch. That said, I already feel the weight of the grind, especially since I'm already finished with the campaign, so there are no big AP rewards for me to work on for the time being. I'm still enjoying myself doing everything I can to progress my toon, clearing all the mythics, completing all the world quests, and even playing around with warmode (not the easiest of times right now if you're Alliance, but I'm willing to brave it because it's still fun). But how much longer is that going to be the case when the grind for azerite seems to be getting closer and closer to the point of being just as insufferable as the artifact power grind was throughout Legion? I know blizzard doesn't want this grind to be that bad, but I already see the numbers getting that ridiculous, so I guess we'll see if they can live up to those words. All in all, BFA is still far from the flop the naysayers expected it to be, at least for me, and for the time being. We'll see what the future holds, though.
I can not tell you how to play, but you should rethink your whole point on Azerit. I doubt that you will at any point really have to grind for Azerit. First of, their will be a Knowledge like System, that reduces the amount you need for thr next level up. When this starts is die unknown, but my bet is on sep 4. SEcond, their is simply no way to grind Azerit in a way that it is profitable. I think it is intended to take as much Azerit as you can with you each week along the normal stuff you do
It seems to me, that you are Way ahead of the curve. You are not supposed to farm Azerite 24/7. It sounds like you are on your Way to burn yourself out, Playing Way to much.
That is your own fault. Seemsblile you havent learned from legion. Thete is literally noone garmin azerite traits. No wonder you getiting bored and already exhausted if the game. Just let it come naturally.
Ikr... I have an 18 neck too (highest in guild) and I can't even unlock more than a tier or two of traits on my azerite gear.. Idk wtf ion was talking about in the Q&A when he said they've paced it so that you'll be able to use the gear as you get it... raiding is about to come out and I feel like I'm still weeks away from being able to properly use the azerite gear I have now, I imagine uldir gear will require even higher azerite lvl so it will be very mediocre for a month or so until I get my neck lvl up enough.. kind of annoying to get gear that you can't rly use properly, it will take most other people in my guild much longer before they're able to properly utilize their azerite gear...
This is off-topic, but I recently started playing again after taking a long hiatus once I beat the nighthold. Anyways, I logged in with my shadow priest, ran around the broken isles until I saw a mini boss on the map and defeated him. I was shocked when his loot contained a legion legendary. Did they boost the drop rate like 1000% or was that just a coincidence?
my biggest disappointment is there are no 110 or 120 new talents. blizzards excuse in legion were the artifact weapon, whats their excuse now? I'm not one to complain, I in fact bash those who complain but we need more talents to give us something to look forward to @ 120. I was looking forward to the azerite armor until I now see how lackluster it feels. Though I am still enjoying the expansion, apart from feral being under tuned.
I don't mind the new expansion except for a few things. Legion end-game and how I was powerful versus BfA endgame is just night and day. I feel weak. Extremely weak. I could solo most of the blue dragon world quests on any of my toons. Now I look at them and they almost feel like dungeon bosses. It's just insane how WEAK I feel. Going back to weapon drops is an absolute nightmare. As a tank, I was already fully geared in heroic dungeons and was still hoping for RNGjesus to give me a heroic weapon, was still rocking out a 305 world quest reward. Went into Mythics as a healer because I finally got a intel weapon (I change lootspecs depending on which boss gives which loot) while still rolling heroics in between for that coveted heroic weapon drop. I got my heroic weapon after being more than halfway done with mythic gearing. I'm now still waiting on a Mythic Weapon and trinkets. Because why would I obtain my most important pieces in a timely manner. 2 weeks of running dungeons and I'm still rocking out a ONCE dropped heroic weapon and World Quest trinkets because none of them dropped at all. Yes, we had 3 relics to drop back in Legion, but they were given out by so many more sources of content that it wasn't that bad to get them. We had an average of almost 1 boss per dungeons would give a relic for at least 1 spec. Now I think only 4 dungeons gives me weapons out of the 10 available. It's absolute non-sence and if I missed anything pre-legion, it's certainly not weapon drops.
I agree that the azerite traits do feel lacking and could be better. But for me, the azerite gear fixed a big problem that I had in Legion. I'm a type of guy who likes playing more than one spec only and be able to play every spec that my class offers at any time. That's a problem that I had with artifact weapons. I enjoy the quality of not having to level 3 seperate weapons like we had in legion. So I'm happy that I'm able to multispec now.
In Legion I had about 1 hour a day to play, I could get everything done bar mythics due to waiting times . It didn´t really matter since I got most stuff done including crafting, in BfA crafting hasnt been given any thought, my Engineering is so boring that I couldn´t believe it and you need to do mythics to craft anything worth mentioning. I am at ilvl 332 and its pretty much over, fortunately my guild had the time to get me through the Siege of Boralus without having to wait in the usual queues. There is only rep grinding left.
While the BfA package is beautiful the inside lacks creativity, novelty and it´s all been done and seen before. WoD brought something new to the table, it was exciting at the time but I feel the criticism has somehow made Blizzard stick to the known routine. Professions are already outdated for most people, couldn´t the content have been much more creative and worthwhile doing? As I mentioned, engineering has the "goblin gliders" and I do love those ... but is it impossible to create something which is equally relevant? Seen any leather auctioning on trade chat? It´s a dead profession. The content outside the story and looks is minimalistic due to the lack of creativity. It may only be the beginning, it´s no excuse however not to be bold and try something new.
332 meaning you have done nothing yet lol. im 342 and i have done stuff weekly since launch and even had almost one week break , yet im revered on all factions (close with CoA) and no i havent bought boes for gear.
at what point i was whining about lack of content lol. I spare you the crap of not playing that much but learn to read atleast and understand it. fucking greasy haired entitled brat
Idk why everyone hates on Azerite traits. They do have room to be better because it would be a lot more fun as actives, but you can still do some hilarious stuff when you stack traits. I think the main absolutely ridiculous thing is to go TWENTY LEVELS with no new abilities or talents. That's beyond absurd; I'm pretty sure that's the #1 to #2 thing that excites people the most about expansions, with the actual content being the other contender. It doesn't affect me because I quit in Cataclysm, so coming back now, EVERYTHING is crazy new. But I'm sure if I had been playing the last few years I'd be very salty.
I think I know why you may have leveled faster on your hunter. I believe there is a bug with the xp, several times while leveling my death knight I would stop and take a look at my xp bar and I noticed that it was full but the numbers was something like 680,000/840,000. Then when I turn in 1 or 2 quests I would level up. And I mean turn in not do so I was only gaining an additional 20k-40k xp. Don't really want to bring this to Blizzards attention since it seems to be purely helpful when it happens.
Theres a pretty big disparity on the power of War mode traits. They're designed for arena, not for open world, so some classes got the short end of the stick. Elemental Shaman, for example, has terrible traits for dealing damage. Meanwhile enhancement has multiple traits affecting stormstrike, literally buffing your world damage upwards of 40%. Leveling enhance is so much faster because of this. Same goes for hunter. BM Hunter has crazy high damage war mode traits. Personally, I like the content (Vol Dun is my favorite leveling zone), but I don't like the AP grind. I saw all the interesting traits within a couple pieces of azerite armor (HINT, theres not many), and how arbitrary the AP grind feels hurts quite a bit. Expeditions are an annoying chore thats barely worth the time. If you consider how much time it takes to do 1 expedition, if you could efficiently run WQ, you'd likely get more AP and rep from WQs.
Everyone feels different about the ap tho. I really hated AP in legion because it was something you where forced to do to even feel viable. Way too much to grind and personally just a hassle to gain all traits. Azerite gear is kind of meh. And i like it because of that.
Grinding is also quiet a issue some drop rates where drastically nerfed to the point you need DAYS to get a single drop also is seems like a waste of time and effort since the reward to all that work is very little
I'm in love with BFA totally. Best expansion since WoTLK in my opinion. Plus, I actually very much prefer Azerite Armor over Artifact Weapons.. I absolutely hated Artifact Weapons.
I see you're a fellow demo player my alt is also at 120 it's shaman though, I was gonna ask, I am really tourn by warlock, why that class and why demo, I used to play lock back in tbc, but yea I am not sure how I feel about it atm
Hmm I got insanely lucky with gear and I now already have my 3 different azerite gear sets for all of the three specs. So I can switch over from demo to destro or to affliction, but most of the time I just play demo. Its to early into the expansion to say which traits are absolutely bis and which talents are obviously performing better then others. Then again in terms of numbers affliction is first then destro and last but not least demo. However there are no more tier sets and no more legendaries so right now it’s ten times easier to switch specs whenever you want without loosing any damage. What I prefer to do is making a decision on what particular spec would perform the best at a certain fight and then I play that particular spec and for m+ I just play demo because I like it. 😊
I agree there’s literally no point in increasing levels anymore especially when everyone just rushes to hit cap anyway and that’s where the majority of the content is
@Evi Reborn with every new expansion. With every lvl increase we lost the sense of progression all we worked to gain is lost. I'm tired to "start" every time they launch an expansion. By the way, every expansion comes with balance BS.
You can do new content, new areas without needing to lvl. Blizzard is doing a stupid job in this part. Balance issues, stats squishes, etc. This is boring and just cause problems in the long term.
I don't like how I'm unable to unlock many azerite traits on my gear.. my neck is lvl 18 and that only allows me to get the first tier of traits on most of my azerite gear... blizzard said in their Q&A that they made it so that you'd be Able to fully trait out a piece of gear as you get it, but I'm getting gear that requires lvl 25 neck and raids aren't even out yet.. I feel like it'll be a month before I reach that, so Idk wtf they're talking about when they say you should be able to use the traits when you get the gear.. I have a bunch of azsrite gear from emissaries that I can't rly use... Also, having defensive abilities on the gcd is just fucking annoying, I still haven't gotten used to it and I don't think I ever will...
I love Island Expeditions, but I just think they don't work as a queueable content. They simply require too much coordination and structure to do efficiently. 40% of groups I've run with had one person just derp out or run off.
i am abit on the fence with bfa cause the questing was quit boring and azorith atm is a real grind + the azorith gear slots are mostly meh and mostly passives. i really wish they add atleast 1 extra talent slot in bfa. cause in legion the artifact weapon kinda felt like a throw back to the old talent system. guess we have to wait for the raid and pvp content to really see where it is heading cause atm its pretty medicore
Agreed. From level 100 onward there simply is not enough added to your character ability wise. Talents stop at 100. The traits are boring. Character progression is important Blizz cmon
I can only partly agree. I think Azerit Gear is far better in a lot of regard. It doesnt have the shitty randomness of early Legion Legendaries. It actually has Choice involved. And it makes me rethink some of my Talent Choices. Azerit Gear in Combination of the first Row Pistolshot Talent from my Outlaw Rogue made it my single strongest hitting Skill. What i want to say is, the system has impact already, far less than legendaries wich is a good thing, because they were far too strong, and it has a lot of potential
I don't know you but please for the sake of the entire gaming community never condone or underestimate gaming addiction. As a content creator please push people to have an healthy lifestyle full of variety.
bfa the expansion that launched with the majority of the exp content not releasing until a month after launch ya its great and island expeditions are shit
I have played all classes during the Beta and during live I have capped my third 120 character. That said I have not seen one single trait that is BIS and changes your rotation or gameplay in a drastic manner. If you could show me one that is a BIS trait and changes gameplay in some major way then please show me. Like for example demo lock have a hardcasting demonbolt trait which quote on quote can change the gameplay a little bit but it’s a really bad trait so it will never see play. :)
streaking stars for balance druid is bis for single target or at least close, obvious how that changes gameplay. High noon is bis at high ilvl and this drastically changes the rotation to be sunfire and starsurge only. Also there is power of the moon which results in a whole lot of moonfire spam.
Its the only end game progression there is except for gearing. Take that away and the game would feel so dead and boring that it would lose a lot of its player base. Instead of taking it away they should implement new end game progression alternatives and/or make Azerite armor have tons of traits, maybe even small talent trees to make the classes feel more special and alive. Not to mention that it would encourage players to play to gain new good and fun rewards/abilities. Just like with the allied races and their heritage armors. Only visiual difference, but still a reward.
If, as the video footage suggests, you were leveling your warlock as demonology, then THAT'S why it took so long. Too much ramp-up needed, but still pitiful damage. That's Demo right now.
In terms of damage I’m always competing for the top spot in mythics, never have the feeling that demo is performing bad. When it comes down to leveling you just have to be a little bit smarter and choose a talent build with only instant casts which will diminish the ramp up time by quite a margin… I actually think that the leveling bonus experience was not working properly for some ppl. Like the warlock took 13 hours, hunter took 8 hours and warrior took 7 hours. The warrior is geared way better then then my warlock and hunter. But the warlock and hunter have the same gear. Yet the hunter was 5 hours ahead which is a really big gap and unlike my warrior I never felt like my hunter was doing a ridiculous amount of damage. Also the amount of quests I had left on the hunter and warrior where quite a few and with the warlock I literally had to go out of my way and do almost every quest.
Only other thing I can think of is the rested bonus (since your alts will be building it up while you were playing the Lock first), but it shouldn't make THAT much of a difference. I assume you had the same War Mode condition across all characters, as well? EDIT: Actually, scratch that. Maybe the Rested Bonus **COULD** make that much difference, depending on how much you've had built up on those characters beforehand.
When game was dependent on artifact level so much People cried Now you can still keep up without no lifing for your azerite level people still cry Thats my opinion
KaZ People didn’t mind the traits of artifact power and the concept. But the mindless grind that wasn’t hard but rather just tedious garbage made it repetitive and boring.
How do you know that? You're phased depending on wether war mode is on or off. I haven't turned it off yet and neither did my guildies and friends. However I'm sure that doing WQ alone without a group/friends while getting ganked on constantly will obviusly result in a lot of people who feel the need to turn of war mlode :)
Meh, bfa already bored me. Got to lvl 114 and was instantly bored of the same old quests. The zones are all lovely... minus the one with the blood trolls. Now sitting with 116 sham and 118 druid. Though I think the lackluster-ness of both of them are what's doing it.. dunno. I'm just not won over yet from bfa. ); By same old quests, I mean fetch this, kill this, blah, blah. Not even the story is making the fact that the quests are easily gone through and just so boring after an hour or two. I might just go back to my level 45 hunter and level that guy and take my leisurely time to get to bfa.
Do you play solo or with friends? This is same feeling I got when playing alone. Once I started playing with people again it got a lot more fun. Also i make sure to set a goal when i log in like do heroics, or mythics world tour. Knock my emissaries, work on my profession. Etc. Otherwise it does get stale especially when we've all been playing this game for years. It doesnt really get new. And honestly if you're bored you should just quit.
You don't even make sense. You get bored doing "the same old quests" in bfa, yet you'd rather go back to a lvl45 hunter and do essentially the same thing.
@@lmao8747 Thats the problem. When something is new, it feels cool. but when it gets over used, crap gets boring. For example BFA feels like legion with minor tweaks.
@@july5345 Inferior version of legion. No bodyguards, bad storyline and presentation apart from the undercity siege There's no garrison abilities for zones like in Warlords or Legion Argus area. Azarite gear sucks, they should remove all azarite gears, and they shoukd never go back to legion's artifact weapon upgrade system either. Go back to normal gear that cannot be retroactively upgraded, and the gear should not have such great ability altering traits.
Its addiction and denial driving you. Wow is at its lowest its ever been in and recent "boom" of player count is due to the hype surrounding a new expansion. Not proof of a better overall experience. Issues still rampant in WOW. Subsrcptions, balancing, content glitches (as mentioned in this video as one of many), the game has turned pay to win, pvp quality is still suffering, toxic player growth with no moderation to stunt it, abusing 3rd party programs such as gold generators and hacking programs, the diversity in player skill and player accessibility, and much more.
What surprises me is how much there is to do while raid/m+/arena isn’t even out yet
@@Sheercoldeu found the blizzard bootlicker
@@arthasmenethil7208 what are you even talking about I'm not saying if it's good or not I'm just stating the facts pathfinder part 2 ain't out yet you won't be able to fly with only part1 fuck off mate.
Im only 4000 rep away from revered with coa and tort rep donno what your talking about it really isnt hard
So which zones are standing out? Drustvar and Tiragar was very enjoyable for me
I agree on most of it.
For me its the terrain. World quests are a pain to get to, and I'm not an advocate of flying mounts, but its badly needed in this expansion.
Where is that snowboarding mini game at the end found?
Liam Alexender right there with ya,
@@polas057 Glad I'm not alone.
The only issue is leveling the heart being so hard to level up its good to see arcane mage on top of dps also
World bosses should be challenging with raid gear and weekly lockout...there should have been a legendary quest line with a nice item like in MoP.
I would hold off on Azurite trait judgement until we see what's on the raid gears and other high content gear. We only have up to Mythic 0 open right now after all.
You’re not going to like this but we actually
already know the mythic+ azerite traits and the first raid tier traits as well
and they’re again a bunch of passives. I have leveled up 4 classes to max level
now and on all of them the class specific traits are not even best in slot in
terms of numbers and dps so you’re not even bothered taking them. Guess will
have to wait up until patch 8.1.
the raid tier sets are already out and allot of the slots aren't even that amazing or just passives
Except...
* Gutted classes
* Lackluster Azerite traits that in no way can make up for loss of legendaries, artifact traits and tier sets
* Fucked up secondaries - classes going from 25% to 5% haste, my Frost Mage is good 18% crit away from Shattercap and that's already playing at like 3% haste...
* World scaling. Open world content is harder than dungeons at 120. Open world content is harder at 120 than at 115 etc... WTF blizz?
But if classes would keep the secondary values then at the end of expansion how would it look? 60% haste and 70% crit?
The Scaling has nothing to do with the difficulty curve. It always has been like this. When you level up, your scaling of your attributes changes. You need more secondary stats for the same effect. When you come with an overgeared char, the difficulty curve always went from extremly easy to difficult. This effect is not that strong when you play a normal geared character like freshly boosted ones. For them, their is pretty much no curve
Second point is easily fixed with new gear and your last point was made at the start of Legion. I'm optimistic.
no, blizzard just tunes the values down when values get too high, they did that in legion like 4 times and they wanted to avoid that in bfa.
Man. I thought I sucked when I was getting destroyed by 2 mobs at 120.
everything you said is true, especially about the azerite gear being a letdown, but people should be more angry imo. and there are other things that blizzard have been lagging behind on for years. such as their reputation grinds NOT being account wide when every other decent mmo has had better reputation systems for a decade or more.
I didn’t even finish all the quest in the second zone when I reached 120 on my DK
Edit: Remember: people enjoyed wod for the first month too.
but legendaries were also a real problem since some classes were impossible to play high end if you didnt get that specific legendary
true, the reward structure around them sucked; but they themselve were interesting.
And in bfa there is 0 replacement for them. not even a low drop legendary from uldir or something
Gawd I thought I was the only one getting bored already. Plus I don’t see a lot of people leveling anymore. I’m like where did everyone go?
@@iKeto_gal Yeah. The world is dead except for pvp.
they phase leveling players in different phases as max level players. mainly for world pvp.
Thats also why the new cities sometimes can seen empty.
What spec are you playing on your lock the most
Honestly, the one issue I have with the expansion, more than the azerite traits being lackluster, which I 100%agree on btw, is azerite itself.
This is indeed the case :)
@@ThatRealGamerGuy figured. Thanks!
my biggest disappointment is there are no 110 or 120 new talents. blizzards excuse in legion were the artifact weapon, whats their excuse now? I'm not one to complain, I in fact bash those who complain but we need more talents to give us something to look forward to @ 120. I was looking forward to the azerite armor until I now see how lackluster it feels. Though I am still enjoying the expansion, apart from feral being under tuned.
waterbender totally agree about the lengendaries. Hated those buggers.
I feel like Blizzard has seen too much Pirates of the Caribbean
I know what you mean my first too was horde and took 2 1/2 zones to get to 120 and my second Ally toon I was done half way through my second zone
I have demo warlock main also. What add-on you using in middle of screen. If it's tell me when can you please shared your profile

What realm do you play on? And are you horde or alliance on your main?

In Legion I had about 1 hour a day to play, I could get everything done bar mythics due to waiting times . It didn´t really matter since I got most stuff done including crafting, in BfA crafting hasnt been given any thought, my Engineering is so boring that I couldn´t believe it and you need to do mythics to craft anything worth mentioning.
I am at ilvl 332 and its pretty much over, fortunately my guild had the time to get me through the Siege of Boralus without having to wait in the usual queues. There is only rep grinding left.
The Spark you realize this is only the beginning of the expansion right?
Great video like always! Keep it up!
Cow is that 🐮?
Luckily I only care about doing WQ, Dungeons and Raids with my friends
With that mindset I've been having a great time so far
I don't know what's worse, the azerite armour system or the open world scaling
Grinding is also quiet a issue some drop rates where drastically nerfed to the point you need DAYS to get a single drop also is seems like a waste of time and effort since the reward to all that work is very little
I'm in love with BFA totally. Best expansion since WoTLK in my opinion. Plus, I actually very much prefer Azerite Armor over Artifact Weapons.. I absolutely hated Artifact Weapons.
melee --- quest faster in a way.. hunters are a mix of melee with the pet and range. best combo. They level faster in BFA
I see you're a fellow demo player my alt is also at 120 it's shaman though, I was gonna ask, I am really tourn by warlock, why that class and why demo, I used to play lock back in tbc, but yea I am not sure how I feel about it atm
Also I do have to point out I do love demo but affli feels like I'm forced to play it, and destro feels like.. Well not like MoP destro
Hmm I got insanely lucky with gear and I now already have my
3 different azerite gear sets for all of the three specs. So I can switch over from
demo to destro or to affliction, but most of the time I just play demo. Its to
early into the expansion to say which traits are absolutely bis and which talents are obviously performing better then others.
Then again in terms of numbers affliction is first then destro and last but not
least demo. However there are no more tier sets and no more legendaries so
right now it’s ten times easier to switch specs whenever you want without
loosing any damage. What I prefer to do is making a decision on what particular
spec would perform the best at a certain fight and then I play that particular spec
and for m+ I just play demo because I like it. 😊
Maybe the azerite traits you have used are bland but the rogue ones are pretty defining
Agreed 100%
5:30 for that one thing
They should get rid of increasing level cap each expansion.
I agree there’s literally no point in increasing levels anymore especially when everyone just rushes to hit cap anyway and that’s where the majority of the content is
I agree. Just keep levels, bring new zones, add very interesting story lines.
Was your hunter alliance? I've heard the alliance side levels easier.
Nope FOR THE HORDE! :D
SO TRUE!!!!
Jeej, de kreeftjes zijn ook van de partij 🙌🏻🦀
Dreyosh of course people aren’t going to know how to do it at first
i am abit on the fence with bfa cause the questing was quit boring and azorith atm is a real grind + the azorith gear slots are mostly meh and mostly passives. i really wish they add atleast 1 extra talent slot in bfa. cause in legion the artifact weapon kinda felt like a throw back to the old talent system. guess we have to wait for the raid and pvp content to really see where it is heading cause atm its pretty medicore
Agreed. From level 100 onward there simply is not enough added to your character ability wise. Talents stop at 100. The traits are boring. Character progression is important Blizz cmon
I really dislike how slow all my characters feel now. It's always the same. The first patch of every expansion always means slow as fuck characters.
Oh, and the really made hunter boring as shit.
PvP plays like a early alpha atm. In legion they handled to get it at least to a beta like playstyle ....
Pvp in legion was shit.
Now at least gear somehow matters again
And we can use TRINKETS for the love of god
And items.
rested xp?
Everything spell feels so clunky, came back to try it since early wod and healing seems so lethargic.
Agree
Dont alts gain more exp once a character gets to max?
I finished 2 zones completely and i got to 120
If you think azerite traits don't affect your character you are wrong, a simple dmg buff to a certain spell can completely change how you play
I have played all classes during the Beta and during live I
have capped my third 120 character. That said I have not seen one single trait
that is BIS and changes your rotation or gameplay in a drastic manner. If you could
show me one that is a BIS trait and changes gameplay in some major way then
please show me. Like for example demo lock have a hardcasting demonbolt trait
which quote on quote can change the gameplay a little bit but it’s a really bad
trait so it will never see play. :)
streaking stars for balance druid is bis for single target or at least close, obvious how that changes gameplay. High noon is bis at high ilvl and this drastically changes the rotation to be sunfire and starsurge only. Also there is power of the moon which results in a whole lot of moonfire spam.
@@ThatRealGamerGuy people chose traits for a dps increase of like 1-2% instead of the fun ones. Jesus...
AP system is bad and should be removed imo
Its the only end game progression there is except for gearing. Take that away and the game would feel so dead and boring that it would lose a lot of its player base. Instead of taking it away they should implement new end game progression alternatives and/or make Azerite armor have tons of traits, maybe even small talent trees to make the classes feel more special and alive. Not to mention that it would encourage players to play to gain new good and fun rewards/abilities. Just like with the allied races and their heritage armors. Only visiual difference, but still a reward.
Im not agree with world pvp players under lv 100 getting ganked so its unfair they should make warmode to lv 100 or make low lv's able to fight back
Such a sad shell of classic :( Forced lore, phasing, ripped RPG elements, no class originality, no impactful PvP or PvE.
The pve island expeditions suck. PvP fun tho
If, as the video footage suggests, you were leveling your warlock as demonology, then THAT'S why it took so long. Too much ramp-up needed, but still pitiful damage. That's Demo right now.
In terms of damage I’m always competing for the top spot in
mythics, never have the feeling that demo is performing bad. When it comes down
to leveling you just have to be a little bit smarter and choose a talent build
with only instant casts which will diminish the ramp up time by quite a margin…
I actually think that the leveling bonus experience was not working properly
for some ppl. Like the warlock took 13 hours, hunter took 8 hours and warrior
took 7 hours. The warrior is geared way better then then my warlock and hunter.
But the warlock and hunter have the same gear. Yet the hunter was 5 hours ahead
which is a really big gap and unlike my warrior I never felt like my hunter was
doing a ridiculous amount of damage. Also the amount of quests I had left on the
hunter and warrior where quite a few and with the warlock I literally had to go
out of my way and do almost every quest.
Honestly my only issue is the world scaling. Fuck that’s stupid boring shit everything moves so slow now
Needs moar trolls
realy... you miss the grind!?!?! lol
Why is everyone so picky, it's a game
one thing .... GCD :(
Dude. You're not playing World of Warcraft you're playing World of Add-ons!! My God. How many add-ons do you need. Lol
When game was dependent on artifact level so much
People cried
Now you can still keep up without no lifing for your azerite level people still cry
Thats my opinion
KaZ People didn’t mind the traits of artifact power and the concept. But the mindless grind that wasn’t hard but rather just tedious garbage made it repetitive and boring.
ACTUALLY you get to the point where you have to no-life island expeditions pretty fast. Plus you have to grind rep preeeetty bad...
What shits me about azurite gear is hey new azurite gear..oh it has the same shit traits as the ones I already got xD
Everybody has the pvp turned off -.- no world pvp at all
How do you know that? You're phased depending on wether war mode is on or off. I haven't turned it off yet and neither did my guildies and friends. However I'm sure that doing WQ alone without a group/friends while getting ganked on constantly will obviusly result in a lot of people who feel the need to turn of war mlode :)
Wpvp saved, instanced pvp dead
Meh, bfa already bored me. Got to lvl 114 and was instantly bored of the same old quests. The zones are all lovely... minus the one with the blood trolls. Now sitting with 116 sham and 118 druid. Though I think the lackluster-ness of both of them are what's doing it.. dunno. I'm just not won over yet from bfa. );
By same old quests, I mean fetch this, kill this, blah, blah.
And honestly if you're bored you should just quit.
foxhound230
Have tried to quit... but this game just draws me back in!!! D:
You don't even make sense. You get bored doing "the same old quests" in bfa, yet you'd rather go back to a lvl45 hunter and do essentially the same thing.
@@iambobsaget3944 he doesn't know what he wants lol
Yes. Like the other comment says, I don't know what I want from WoW anymore. lol
Wow is boring cos solo ques are garbage and gear trash
Got to 120 and feel like quitting. such a boring game now.
lol, me too xD
Cause it was so different back then right?
@@lmao8747 Thats the problem. When something is new, it feels cool. but when it gets over used, crap gets boring. For example BFA feels like legion with minor tweaks.
yeah 100%, i logged in the day after hitting 120 and i was like "wait why am i doing this again it feels exactly like Legion"
@@july5345
Inferior version of legion.
No bodyguards, bad storyline and presentation apart from the undercity siege
There's no garrison abilities for zones like in Warlords or Legion Argus area.
Azarite gear sucks, they should remove all azarite gears, and they shoukd never go back to legion's artifact weapon upgrade system either.
Go back to normal gear that cannot be retroactively upgraded, and the gear should not have such great ability altering traits.
One thing.. still no pvp specific gear... wtf
banmia suadi - PVP gear unlocks when the season starts
so they did bring it back? pvp gear with pvp stats etc right?
Before complaining about shit you could always read patch notes or watch some of the many other youtuber's talking about it.
@@iambobsaget3944 you have a bad day aww you poor thing
Yeah devide the playerbase like they did im TBC and WotLk. Awesome.
Idk, some of the classes feel incredibly dull now
Azerite gear is bad and classes are very 1 dimensional now. Just give me my artefact weapon back
Its addiction and denial driving you.
If you haven't seen the signs that Blizzard is willing to replace veterans like us then I'm sorry to say this but you're killing yourself. Bobbing around for a good relaxing game session and are willing to spend paycheck upon paycheck to find it.
When in reality Blizzard throws out a crumb trail and expects us to following the leaders like a bunch of mindless birds.
You can get a better more fun experience without paying so much money and spending countless hours in a toxic environment.
Do yourself a favor and quit denying it. Literally expand go out and try something else for once. It'll surprise you.
@@onbekendonbekend3590 oh poor delusional sheep. Following mindless thinking paying large sums of money for an oversized game that demands a high performance computer isn't the only way to have fun.
You can find something just as fun or even better than this. Trust me. After 500 dollars and 8 years of the same game. I had realized I can do better. I don't have to suffer to enjoy a game and WOW isn't as amazing as everyone makes it out to be.
You who are so highly invested cannot see how low you have sunk ink gaming standards and quality. You who lost to where else you can go for enjoyment will find it one day and I pray you do not spend a dime on your next game. To make up for the rather abusive practices in this game.
Know that they operate on falsehoods and hype and have been seeking to replace you as they do with all veteran players.
I hope that one day you can move on peacefully and find a better experience. A happiness within out beloved hobby and that your wallet remains fat.
@@onbekendonbekend3590 Enjoy it then for now as a new experience.
Yet I cannot show you if you aren't willing as rightly so. But many of us old time players, me included Wrath of the Lich King player here, have moved on.
Just keep in mind the company behind it focus so much on hype and getting players hooked. So don't get too attached and devoted to a single game. Its your fun your choice your enjoyment.
Make the most out of your buck man. Just don't get addicted like so many others.
@@onbekendonbekend3590 strangely enough WOW has already been deemed thee most suicide inducing game ever created. They have more than just a few suicides or assaults due to their game being the cause but then again its 25 years.
Have to give the benefit of the doubt though the theory of high levels of addiction can cause issues with a person' psyche.
Oh look another know it all... Do yourself a favor and quit picking on a guy who is clearly working hard to put some content together. Maybe take your little soapbox and go try to make your TH-cam channel videos instead of taking dumps on doorsteps you don’t want to be visiting in the first place.
