- This week I got the opportunity to visit Derby Koi and access all areas. Had a fantastic time seeing the Derby Koi crew, pond and film set in real time.. Great seeing it for real after watching it on tele each week.
Andy has some fish for sale and one in particular has caught my eye so I needed to visit to see it in his pond..🤔👍👍
I get to wonder around his place and interview Andy to discuss the history of his pond and what fish he has in his pond..😉👍

Ive had Israeli koi for the last 15 odd years, this spring i bought my self a loverly Goshiki, Tancho, chag and a kogane ochiba.
Together with the existing 3 Grass Carp (huge buggers they are!) and the 8 Israeli koi, 2 being fry from last year as my Grand children picked them, its enough for now me thinks.
I do love my Goshiki though :)

Another great video, mate . Your sense of humour is magic. You should have gotten a fish. I've had a couple of the boys, and going grate guns. Apart from bigbad Barry. As top fish as one of andys as, overtake it . I am hoping to get down for the open day at koi collection in a couple of weeks. That should be a good day out . Another one to make you smile thanks Andy. I'm not enjoying my pond at the moment struggling with pond foam and nothing i do makes any difference, had my pond a long time but never had this happen before 😞. Gwen 🧓
Try reducing food for few days as I believe the foam is proteins in the water... Did you try floating some crackers?
Hi Andy, thanks for your reply, I've worked really hard this week constantly washing out filter foams cleaned both the sides of the pond and vac the bottom nothing much really came out. I'm only feeding a 16% protein food once a day but will now try not feeding for a couple of days, poor fish will be ravenous 🦈. Gwen 🧓
Forgot to say foam now reduced to a quarter of what it was but seems to build up more during the night 🤔
Good to hear the foam is reducing. I wouldn't clean the inside of your pond too much as that's where the good bacteria and bugs live that make your pond work naturally.. 😉👍
