using WH1000XM4 over the ear headphones from sony, since a year and they have been amazing so far. battery life is still on point, sound signature, multiple device connectivity, customisation from app. Each and everything makes me happier for choosing this product. I use it on daily basis and they have been running good so far.

The important feature apart from sound quality is the dedicated app compatibility for both Android and iOS. Sony is the best at it.

I've been using these beauties (WF-1000 XM5 TWS) since a couple of weeks and I'm absolutely loving them. It took some time for me to adjust to the memory foam buds, but they are super comfortable than the regular silicon buds. Music and Call quality is great. The App has a lot of options to customise the sound profile. There's some room for improvement in noise cancellation though in comparison with Bose QC Ultra earbuds.
Overall, a great product from Sony!!

Still using WF 1000 XM3 since 2020 & loving them. Not the most comfortable or compact. Has the worst mic for calls, decent battery life. But EXCELLENT Noise cancellation & Sound quality.
The sound tuning done on that is IEM Level.
Been watching for more than 6-7 years. The quality of review is always the highest.

Great video! If i may give a suggestion, please use a light background table or maybe use a lighter colour sheet of paper for darker/colored products as it would make the product pop out and more details would be visible. Right now that tan leather kind of backdrop affects the legibility. Also little bright lights on product shots please.

I have watched a lot of this tws segment. I myself have bought an ATH M50x, Pixel earbuds, Yas 109 and some other tech related elements after your recommendation and I am completely happy with my purchases also . But....
Sir...This tws segment is relatively less important in my opinion. Continuous keeping an ear bud in your ear(Air pods) even without a usage ( expecting a call some time) for a whole day can definitely damage your ears..
This can also ache your ear also as it's holding them for long time . .
Neck band instead is lot more practical choice..you can hang them in neck if not in use..and it won't fall down easily as earbuds if you sleep with it in your ears...
I am just trying to mark a reminder as you have done a lot of earlier generations of tws of sony, bose , senhisers etc....and still reviewing their successors..But are they having that much improvement with its predecessors for an detailed review or an upgrade??
Whether a normal person need to shell out that much money for an ANC now a days??
Actually whom all require this tws over a neck band or a premuim headphone??(cost is more for ANC tws)

I own the XM4s and for me personally the design of the buds itself is more premium and distinct and captures attention whereas the XM5s are just too small not noticeable like people actually ask me which earphones are these that I am wearing

You can buy premium TWS easily but their battery degrades extremely fast, I mean you can't use any TWS in long term you have to buy again in 1.5-2 years

I wanted to convey one thing. I have been using Sony WF-1000XM4 from the last 13 months. Warranty completed just a month ago and suddenly from 2-3 days ago the battery of the buds became very weak. It lasts less than an hour. I am not even a heavy user. Searching on the internet I found many users facing this issue.
I now doubt that the XM5s could be the same, not just XM5 but any other Sony product.
13k just for a year of battery life is a joke for me.
I also had battery life issue on the WF-XM4 I have mentioned about that in the end of the video, I heard Sony was offering warranty replacement as it's a known issue on the XM4.

Hi Ranjit, massive props to you for your work. Have been watching your videos for over 10 years now. I had a question regarding one of the points you made regarding the microphone quality. I've recently bought these earbuds, they work great, but during calls, people complain about the ambient noises. They say they can hear a lot of ambient noise. On the contrary, you said in the video the complete opposite of it. Could you please let me know what settings you had used? Or maybe what I might be doing wrong?
I have 2 questions:
1. Is it just the equalizer or does each and every setting tweaked in the app gets stored inside the TWS?
2. Does it work as well with desktop/laptop (particularly Windows) as it does with phones? Does each functionality: sound quality, latency, microphone, everything else, work as expected?
(I think there's not a dedicated app for Sony TWS on Windows but I hope that I can just change settings using the phone app and everything will be working fine on PC as well. If I'm buying such an expensive TWS I'm ofc gonna be using it on my PC to experience that beautiful sound and ANC and stuff. Also, the dual connectivity feature makes it tempting to use it with a combination of phone and laptop.

Sorry for the correction. I am using xm4. It has multiple connectivity. You can connect to 2 devices at the same time. It was not there in the beginning, but Sony introduced that by a software update.
Hey Ranjit, I really like the content you create. One small request I wanted to make was if the table top being used is of a lighter colour the product would be better. Though I acknowledge that I was viewing the video dead in the night on low brightness.

It has a MAJOR MAJOR battery drain issue and Sony has worst service quality post purchase. Please beware before buying this, people are facing issues within a month of their purchase.

Just wanted to clear out one thing. Do not order this right now from Amazon as price is showing 64000.
Sony officially started the pre-order from 27 September, promising the delivery around 26th October. The price was 20000 with sony sbs speaker as pre-order bonus. Now it is out of stock and all the pre-order delivery has been postponed till December 2023 first week.
I know this because I pre-ordered this as well from Amazon.
Hi sir, im a huge fan of your videos, i watch all the videos which you post, last year I've purchased WF-1000xm4 after watching your review video, in WF-1000xm4 model has an battery drain issue on 1 earbuds. After fully charged while using both at same time on 1 earbuds battery drains out. Sony is not fixing it.

Silicone tips are durable, washable, and generally more affordable. They provide a comfortable fit and good sound isolation. Foam tips, on the other hand, offer superior sound isolation and tend to conform better to the ear

Sony XM4 battery drain problem, when I went to the Sony service center near the Mumbai airport with my XM4, they replaced them immediately even though it was no longer under warranty.

Since iPhone doesn’t support LDAC. This TWS wouldn’t be enjoyed to the fullest level for iPhones in terms of sound quality.

I am facing the same battery issue with my link-buds-S. Bought it about 6 months ago. The right one lasts 3-4 hrs, but the left dies in 30-40 mins.
Been using the Sennheiser MTW3 for about a year and a half. Thinking of trying the Sony XM5's after watching your review 😅

The Samsung galaxy watch 4 comes under my budget, but it is not compatible with iPhones. Just wanted to check via Bluetooth what features are available for iPhone user on the galaxy watch 4. Can I receive and make calls, can I get notifications like WhatsApp, Instagram and other apps on my watch, and the main thing is can I use Google maps on the watch?
