If anyone is still confused about challenging, you’re only really supposed to play a four+ or color wheel when you can’t play anything else, so winning a challenge meant the person could still play other cards

@@violet9242 i think what they're trying to say is imagine they were playing red for example. if sapnap only had blues, but also had a plus four, i think that's when they're technically supposed to play it?? when you challenge, i think you guess if the person who put the plus four has that color? like if sapnap used the plus four on karl, i think karl would challenge that he didn't have the red already in the middle deck???? if he was right, sapnap draws the four, but if karl were to challenge and get it wrong, he gets 6 instead of the original 4 cards. i'm not sure if that even makes any sense though lmao

This game is the definition of “the pace never was an option “
Basically, with the "Challenge" mechanic:
If a player plays a Draw 4 card , then the person drawing cards has the option to challenge. If the person who played the card played it "illegally" (has another card that they could have played instead of the +4), and the person drawing cards picks "Challenge", then the person who played the card gets 4 cards, instead of the person who was originally going to get them. However, if the receiver challenges the person who played the card, but they didn't have another card they could have played, then the receiver gets 6 cards.
Also, if you decline a challenge, you get 4 cards.
TL:DR you can only play a Draw 4 card if you don't have any other cards you can play. If you challenge someone who broke this rule, they draw 4 cards, but if they followed the rule, and you challenge them, you get 6.

you know it’s getting intense when you and the other players starts saying your cards to prevent someone from winning
For future reference, when someone lays a +4 they are supposed to pick a colour they have in their hand as its a last resort card if they don't have the colour on the table so can't lay. If they pick a colour that they don't have in their hand and you Challenge, you pick up cards. If they did have that colour, they pick up cards as they had other options to lay down :)

Let's say someone plays a +4 and you challenge, if the color of the card below the +4 is a color the person who originally played the +4 has you win the challenge ☺️

no, the UNO official rules said that if you suspect that a player has played a Wild Draw 4 card illegally, you may challenge them. A challenged player must show his/her hand to the player who challenged. If the challenged player is guilty, he/she must draw the 4 cards, plus 2 additional cards. Only the person required to draw the 4 cards can make the challenge.

How the challenge works is if someone places a 4+ and changes the colour that is being played red to blue for example, u can challenge them. By putting down the 4+, they are saying that they don’t have any more red cards but when u are challenging them , u r taking the risk saying they do. If they do have red card when u challenge them, then they get the four plus, (because they changed the colour even when they had another card they could’ve placed) but if you challenged them and they don’t have anymore red cards then u get 6+. This is a really confusing explanation but I tried.

i haven't watched the whole video yet so idk if they figure it out, but how the challenge thing works is if you place a +4 but you could've played a regular card (not the black ones) then if they challenge they win the person that places the +4 gets 4 cards. if the person doesn't have anything else they could place then if they challenge they get +6 bc they're dumb ig. so if they think they don't have anything they could've played best bet is to but add +4 and not like have a chance to get +6
The way challenging works is if someone plays a draw 4 and picks a new color even if they had cards from the previous color.
For example, if the color is green and someone has a green but switches it to yellow, if you challenge it, you will win since they still have green cards.

The +4 challenge works like this
A +4 can only be played when you don't have a card that matches the color of the top card of discard pile (for example, the last card played is a red 5. If you have a red card you cannot play the +4)
If you do decide to play the +4, and the receiver challenges it, you'll draw 4 instead.
Let's say in the same situation (last card bieng a red 5) and you do not have a red card in your hand. Then you may play the +4. If the receiver challenges it, they'll draw 6 instead

FYI from an Uno EXPERT: The +4 challenge is meant to keep people from playing +4 unless they have no other cards they can play. In the official Uno rules, you are not allowed to play a +4 unless it is the only cars you can play. If the +4 is played on you, You challenge someone and if they had a card they could have played instead of a +4, they have to draw those cards since they “lied”. It’s a weird rule that most people don’t use when playing with IRL uno cards.

one of the less used rules in uno is that you are only able to use draw 4 cards when you are not able to use any other card, obviously normally people don't know what cards you have but if someone "challenges" you then you show them all your cards and if you were lying you draw +6 and vice versa

ok challenge means that when a person uses a +4 card at somebody , the person that get +4 can challenge . When he challenge, the person that +4 him has to have a card that u picked to challenge him, if he didnt have one , that means u have to get +6 , but if he has it, they get to +4

Tips: Challenge in a wild +4 allows the player to bluff, you may not play a wild +4 when you have the color that matches on the discard pile, If the player thinks you have to the color on the discard pile, He may challenge, if he challenge and you have the color that matches the discard pile, then you draw the 4 cards but you still pick the color. But if he is wrong he draw 6 cards and lose their turn
so lemme explain the challenging. say for example karl throws a draw four while the deck is blue, if sapnap challenges karl and wins that means karl had a blue that he was supposed to play over the draw four, but if karl doesnt have a blue then sapnap looses.
