      Thanks! What did you think of park? I kind of want to try and go to all three parks over a long weekend to compare them.

      MTB Trail Review it was first time for me and my son for a bike park. We had an amazing time. We learned and improved so much our riding after only one day at the park. Can’t wait to come back and try the other ones!

    Good vid as usual Chris,,its cool to see how comfortable you have become in the air since I first started watching..BTW..bike sounds like it has some lower bracket issues. May need a service my friend!

      Thanks Brandon! I tried to take it apart and clean it, but it's a press fit and I don't have the tools. I have an appointment coming up to get it taken care of!

    Do you think the dust might be a deterrent with Sky Park being only a few minutes up the road?

    • @MTBTrailReview
      @MTBTrailReview  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Possibly. It really is a different kind of riding. I think I would be lying if I said that I enjoyed it more than Skypark, but it's fun to ride something different, especially when it's lift served. When Skypark is super wet and a lot of the wood features are closed, I would probably prefer to go here.

    Looks like a chill spot. Is it as dusty as it looks?

    • @MTBTrailReview
      @MTBTrailReview  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Maybe even dustier then it looks. That said, we will be going back, because it was a lot of fun!

    Is that the linkages I hear creaking?

    • @MTBTrailReview
      @MTBTrailReview  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Among other things, yes. Since making this video, I've replaced the bottom bracket and crank, and gone over the entire bike with a torque wrench. It still makes a little noise, but it's not screaming at me any more.

    Dust making the pivots sound louuuud

    • @MTBTrailReview
      @MTBTrailReview  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. I just got a new bottom bracket, so that should help with the noise.

    Is it worth the drive from San Diego? Or better to just hit up summit or sky park?

    • @MTBTrailReview
      @MTBTrailReview  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think I like Skypark and Summit better, but it was definitely worth the drive. It was definitely something different, which was kind of refreshing, and we were able to get 3 times the runs we would get at Summit.

    Hey, I'm thinking to taking my son there. Do you think the green and blue trails are reasonably kid friendly, and fun?

    • @MTBTrailReview
      @MTBTrailReview  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What's your son's age/level? There's not much of a difference between the blues and greens. If he is comfortable riding loose conditions and steeper sections at your local trails, he would probably be fine.

    • @EricHollanderAcu
      @EricHollanderAcu 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      MTB Trail Review He’s 10 and has a pretty decent hard tail. He enjoys Lake Hodges. Prefers downhill to climbing.

    • @MTBTrailReview
      @MTBTrailReview  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EricHollanderAcu A hardtail will be fine. If he can ride all of Hodges, he would most likely be fine on the steeper sections, as there are not many that are mandatory. It's just really loose. If he's comfortable riding sand, he'll probably be fine. There were some people there that were definitely beginners when we went, and they were getting down the mountain. If you go, I would just take it slow until he's used to the terrain.

    • @EricHollanderAcu
      @EricHollanderAcu 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MTBTrailReview Thanks! If he can ride Turtle at Snow Summit do you think that's about the level over there? I know its much looser from what I hear.

    • @MTBTrailReview
      @MTBTrailReview  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EricHollanderAcu I think he would probably be okay, then. And yeah, much looser than Turtle.

    • @MTBTrailReview

      You should be fine as long as you stay off of Gun Smoke. Give yourself a couple of runs to get used to the dirt, too.
