To be fair: This show was all about the positive coaching roles that Sudeikis thought were never shown in Media. (He referenced more Baseball managers who were just incredibly positive people) The entirety of media showed the coach as an anxiety filled balloon of concern at all times instead of a lighthouse in a storm.
Brooklyn nine nine has that same aspect. Covers a variety of issues and is very wholesome as well. Jokes are well written and delivered. And it's in a different setting which is pretty fresh if you havent watched it.
What she realizes is how masterful Ted is in relating to any person he meets regardless of how they behave. His superpowers are integrity, self-respect, and honesty.
so he just lets himself get talked down to, degraded, humilated, and manipulated. and you want people to say he is "being the better person because he does not get mad? thats not what that means
I am JUST NOW realizing that after Jamie says "Cheers" Ted replies with a very subtle "Night Court". 😂🤣 I've watched every episode at least 3 times, but I'm JUST NOW hearing jokes for the first time. These writers are just BRILLIANT.
The fact that you know the whole point if this show is about him & his holistic spirit as a fish out of water, knowing that her answer is to be proven wrong by the end of the final season, if not before, is really something
@@patrickb8345 mine was the running joke of Buddy's (Harry's dad) backstory. You'd hear about some wakky thing that he did in the past, then he'd look at whomever and say, "But I'm feeling much better now." with a goofy grin. I still use it as a go-to for laughs.
The answer, by the way, is "panda". I'm sorry, live in a dry-ass dessert regularly on the verge of starvation? Or a happy-ass panda living the good life in a Chinese zoo, constantly being coerced into having sex? Panda every time, let's be real.
And lioness literally have to give birth every 2 years female pandas literally store the sperm inside themselves and choose when to become pregnant sometimes just deciding not to ever get pregnant
lions have to be constantly on guard, constantly guarded against getting their asses kicked by their fellow lions, other predators, or even the things they are supposed to be eating. imagine starving and knowing you have to kick an elephant's ass just to eat today, over and over for your entire life, knowing one bad break, one injury and you'll never be able to take down your prey ever again, knowing you'll starve to death; knowing that even if you take down this elephant that pacl of hyenas over there is just going to take it from you. pandas get food that just sits there and doesn't fight back. anybody who chooses to go to mcdonalds instead of going out and killing his dinner with his own bare hands is implicitly choosing panda over lion.
honestly i don't think the part where everyone demands you have sex with a party you clearly don't want to for the survival of your species sounds that great tbh
I didn't stumble upon this show until all three seasons were done, and i think i binged it in a week. One week later, i started over a second time. This is seriously the best show I've ever seen when it comes to showing "Positive Healthy Masculinity." It doesn't back down from showing serious topics, and even though it's humorous, it never tries to "joke the problem away." It shows both vulnerability and strengths, personal development, importance of support and asking for help, and so much more. Jamie Tartt's development arc from obnoxious self-centered twat, through discovery of his crappy background, the finding of a brother/mentor in Roy, taking responsibility and emerging as an adult on the other side... is one of the best ive seen in a tv show!
Jamie "Cheers!". Ted " Night Court!". Watching this the first time, I laughed my martini out of my nose. So unexpected and such a time machine statement.
I remember this question on a psychological quiz when I was in high school… you ask what animal you would want to be ands why… after you’ve answered you were told that the answer revealed how you wish to be seen. I’m not too proud to say I chose a Siberian Tiger because it was beautiful, rare and powerful. So embarrassing as it is I think that there’s some merit to it. Try it on someone you know.
Why would you feel embarrassed for a question you were asked growing up? Tigers are cool as hell and incredible animals, not a bad thing to want to be like one.... Maybe skip the whole teeth and throats part.
First off, I never realised until watching back, it is sad that they pulled back from the Keeley/Ted friendship - although the girl power friendship Keeley and Rebecca had was a highlight. Second, watching this a second time made me click, this is the moment that Rebecca starts plotting the fake Keeley/Ted scandal.
That’s the cool thing about this show, like that actually is a healthy thing to think. This show is about belief. Jamie believes in himself. And we can all understand that he didn’t walk the line of confidence to arrogance well. But at the end of the day, not believing in yourself. That’s a problem. I’ve been there before and I’m sure many of you guys have as well.
@@scottmatheson3346 It depends on the situation. TBH lions and pandas act pretty similar. Both enjoy generally sedentary lifestyles consisting of lounging, sleeping and eating. The only difference is the panda (unlike the Lion) is antisocial hat hates sex to the degree that it’s going extinct. You know what on second thought, I’m definitely a Lion.
Even s1 tartt was showing his good side. Also ive just realised that until we see wilfred for the first time, Rebecca is seen as the antagonist the way she tries to sabotage the team. Then you meet rupert and you're like "ah i get it now."
It's a psychological question, people who answer lions are or want to appear powerful and unnerving. Pandas are content and peaceful with their environment. It's not a real one, but for writing a script for a tv show it's pretty good. Rebecca desires control and unyielding strength. Coach lasso is happy go lucky and desires nothing above what is deserved of him. Jamie, is jamie. And jamie is a lion. Definitely a lion 🦁
Okay. I think I have watched all of the ted lasso clips I can find on youtube. Its on to finding out how much I gotta pay and where so that I can really watch it......
everyone knows there's only one correct answer to this question and that is panda. cute, doing the bare minimum, but mess with them or their family and they will fucking obliterate you.
lion. pandas are better cuz there is no expectation for greatness so they can be the best they wanna be without fear of failure.....but lion all the same cuz the stylist look for panda is what professionals call a hot mess.
I’m not sure you realize how psychologically healthy that really is.
such great line that is
Genius line
Some of the lines in this show catch me off guard with how smarty written and witty they come off
I know it is kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good website to stream new movies online ?

I think at that point she was setting Ted up to fail and plotting a scandal with Keeley and the photographer.
Tents article really exemplifies that
