Other than a little bobble in the 1994 Olympics, this is the only time I've ever seen Sergei make a mistake. Not perfect, but even a less than perfect G&G are a beauty to behold.
Wow Sergei was so powerful here even with the error. I think ask he got older he learned to become more the the frame and let her shine. While that is awesome it is nice to really see his power and extreme talent here. He was such a great talent
Wow you can see how playful and fun personality Sergei had during the wait time for the scores. I wonder what changed his demeanor around the 94 Olympic time.
Fabulosos Katya y Sergei, gráciles y perfectos❤❤!

Their entries with their throws are always nice and smooth. Pairs now look like they are totally preparing for a throw

SU ENFERMEDAD SILENCIOSA, EL SOLO SABIA LO QUE SENTÍA EN SU CUERPO.
They were no longer teenagers. They were grown, married, with a daughter, and had gone through a time of turmoil in their country.
Why is the video sped up?
Sergei is just too tall for Katia. Sometimes it looks like he's skating with a child. But they're magnificent nonetheless.
That’s what they did back then
By 1989 they looked like equals. And definitely by the 1994 Olympics, their size difference was nothing of note anymore.
She was a child during this competition. As young as she was she had a lot more social grace and sportsmanship than that brat Trusova or Plushenko.
