I let the kid next door drive my 2005 polaris sportsman 700 twin today. Came back ten min later hand brakes don’t work spewing brake fluid everywhere (I think they drove with hand brake on) it was running hot let it sit it cooled down, then I noticed it was acting funny as I was driving across street to park it. As if it was sputtering almost (I didn’t drive it enough to get an accurate reading on what it was doing) didn’t want to tear into something else. Get her in garage and notice my gear shifter is all wobbly and loose. I have done a ton with this bike. Took down limbs with winch, hauled trailer with tree cut into firewood size pieces. She’s stood the test of time. The gears were hard to shift before and I tried explaining this to them boys that you had to grab the gear shifter where your hand sits flush up under it and push and pull. Not put pressure down or yank. Well now I’m in a bind. Idk what to do or where to start. No brakes at all now.
Mine is a 04 700 twin and when I use the rear break it makes a knocking sound. Also does it when in turn. Also when i put it in gear sometimes it wont engage till i give it throttle.
Hey I have a 2092 700 Polaris sportsman and the shifting is hard to change or move and I need to use both hands to do it. Could you please let me know how to fix it? Thanks.
Mine does same if I have the handle bars turnt all the way. But cranks right back up. I’m not sure why it does it. I’d like to know as well. Have 05 twin sportsman 700
@@cayciedwards9563I know it’a two years later but my 03 was doing the same thing… until I realized it was my extra key catching on the gas cap and turning the key off when I would turn 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ happened over a dozen times before I realized
Atta baby, fun to ride and interesting to work on that's how we learn and save big labor bills.
This has helped me a lot thanks I do have a few questions would like to speak with you if that is possible

does the magnum 330 have the same spring?
Not 100%
Whenever I put my four wheeler into gear it dies
Sounds like a carb issue.
