My childhood hero. I started Idolozing him since probably 13 y/o. Then I became more impressed when I learned that he is a 5X Wu Shu world champion. This is my fave' Hollywood movie of Jet Li so far. I wish I take part of at least one of his films and a movie shot here in the Philippines. FYI. His screen name "JET" comes from the Philippines he said.
I remember I was about 7 or 8 years old when it came out my mom let me watch it rented it she Told me I Better not repeat it. My favorite end ecridts was sad song.
She doesn't give herself enough credit.. The headbutt she gave was badass.. I love her mouth, the way she smiles and talks.. She's so beautiful.. And the outfits she wears are so cute.. I love it when she acts sad and vulnerable, she's so convincing, and so pretty.

For years women battled weight gain and they swore up and down it wasn't their faults. Now, Science proved those girls were telling the truth and our own corps and gov poisoned our grandparents and it's been passed down generations to women still today. Aging gracefully is like winning the old people lottery and not battling weight gain every day. I knew a few girls that used to take supplements just to gain weight and be a healthy size. But I stand by my statement. Bridgette was one of the most beautiful actresses of her time.
Jet-Li is without a shadow of a doubt a great actor and a Wushu Gold Medalist and Bridget Fonda is great actress as well her father the late great Peter Fonda trained her well, as for Tchkèy Karyo the French-Turkish actor he's extremely talented in Kiss of the Dragon, Bad Boys and 007: GoldenEye, the last time I watched Bridget Fonda acting was in The Godfather part 3
It is a story based movie first and a badass kickass movie second thats why it works so well I will forever LOVE Jet Li ❤ and Bridget Fonda was so good in this as well, she is the heart of the movie and i love that whe didnt feed into the dumb question that journalist asked her, this would have been different in todays world, she just is super classy

Emotions of kindergarden kids i suppose. Jessica wasnt a prostitute because she wanted to, she was forced by that damn Jean-Pierre Richard. Someone who didnt feel sorry for her is simply himself a total cold blooded and deluded human being with zero senses for human emotions. Ive watched this movie back in 2004 for the first time and didnt expect so much. But it blew me away. It was the total package. Yes the action scenes and fights were stunning! Jet did an amazing job, he was in his prime here. The two brothers were great opponents, Tcheky Karyo was brilliant as Richard, but yeah, Bridget Fonda was also great as Jessica. Its never easy to play a prostitute. And even if it was held very small, but it was really a nice thing that Liu Jian and Jessica began slowly to feel for each other. Nobody would have expected that. Jessica never had a man who takes care of her. She was lost, she needed help, she needed like a knight who saves her, a knight who slays the evil dragon Richard. And Mr. Liu was obsessed with his job, he was never married, he was very stubborn, but Jessica changed something in him. Most probably for the first time he realized there is more then a job in this world. When she was almost death and told him "i trusted you", that was the moment when he knew what going on. He realized she loves him, and he loves her, and in this moment the job become secondary, he only wanted to bring her her daughter back, and to erase that swine Richard once and for all was the ice on the cake. But yeah, like i said in totality this movie is just great! And i personally disagree with the ppl who attack Bridget Fonda for her portrayal as Jessica. I personally like it very much! She made the audience feel in what a terrible situation Jessica is. Jet himself about this: There is an interview still here on YT "Premiere Kiss of the Dragon" when he says: "This is not a typical action movie where the girl is like a flower. She can just vanish and later comes back. This is not the case her. Bridget "Jessica" is actually the key. She is between the good (Liu) and the bad (Richard) guy and makes the whole story work."

I dont know if Bridget Fonda is really fine right now because of her look. But I just wish her nothing but the best and health. I loved almost every movie she was acting in, "It Could Happen to You" for example was great imo.
Jet Li and Michael Jai White never made a movie fighting eachother. that would've been interesting to see. I wonder if it was even asked by one of them and the other rejected..
Bridget Fonda totally ruined the movie with her really bad performance. The movie was a fun gritty dark action movie with Jet li. But with this movie she ruined his carrer and almost ruined the movie
I'm 100% agree. You don't need a female leading role in this movie beside a co-star which should've been the child. The movie was great itself, the French Govt diplomat and Police corruption against the Chinese which is why Jet was there in the first place. Typical Hollywood styles of having female actors showing their boobs and bootys in action film just to hyped up the trailer for movie watchers, worse marketing strategies. Leave those nudity scene to romance, comedy and crime drama genres. I was never a fan of JVD movies cause of it.

I just saw photos of Bridget Fonda. She looks like she weighs almost 300 lbs. I was shocked. She's completely unrecognizable.
