Been searching around for my first keeb. I am currently looking into buying this one. Your 2 videos have been rlly helpful. How well does the volume knob work? Does it need drivers or is it plug and play?
@@zombiezom222 so far there is no issue with my keeb, been using it for 8-12 hours a day. poly fill is can't caused short to board since is safe for electronics. Thicker EVA Froam also work the same way as poly fill, even trapped more heat than poly fill. just make sure to maintain from dust after a few months.
Hey i got this keyboard but the non rgb version, which was priced higher than the rgb😅😂, my point is that the pcb doesnt have 5 pin holes it has 3 and two printed circles with the silhouettes of the other two pins, i bought it from temu, 😢maybe i got ripped off?
I already have bought this keyboard and I love it, I plan to mod it and add the same akko v3 yellow switches you have. I have a question, is this keyboard 5-pin or 3-pin? I pulled off one of the switches and I see 5 holes for the switch in the pcb even though the switches it came with were 3-pin. I'm only asking this because I know the akko switches are 5 pin and I want to make sure they're compatible. I know I can cut off the other two pins for the akko v3 to make it fit but I would rather not.
never had any issue, all fine so far. I modded many keebs including the pricey ones. For budged 100% keebs this is the best one for me. tbh this is my everyday keyboard at home.
sure you will get close to this, if you have the same exact method of tape mod, same amount of poly fill and same keycaps and switches. the swithces are stock btw
@@NyctoFPS hey dude, sorry to bother you, but is there any indication that keyboard is fully charged? I know about combination fn+backspace, but are there any others? and how long does it take to fully charge it? and last question: how long does it last on one charge? 😘
bro that furr bottom, that is some dedication. Thanks for the video, helped me mod my ak992 wired version.
I think the car dampening is doing the majority of the work however, you made it sound sooo good for a cheaper keyboard!
The sound feels really good 😲....thanks for sharing how to mod this keyboard 😁
glad you liked it, mate
Loved it! Thank you for making this video!
Glad you loved it
Thanks for sharing my 992 sounds lot better now.
you are welcome mate

it's plug and play, the drivers are not doing much. I only use it to check battery and change LEDs
@@NyctoFPS 2:24 I'm afraid the cloud will trap heat and cause a short. is it?

@@NyctoFPS im planning to buy it. but still cant decided between ak992 and rk g98(new one). knob function only for volume? not brightness keyboard?

it support 5-pin switches, you'll be fine
Did you lub the switches? Loved it!
Yes i lubed them
have you thought about buying silicon liquid for making molds and creating silicon to create dampener by pouring it into case bottom?
I never think that far, but it will be worth trying. maybe someday there will be a person doing that
xool !

Did you have any problems with this keyboard? Is it worth to mod it? I'm thinking to buy this keyboard and mod it myself.

Will I able to get closer sound to yours? If I just put some layers of masking tape and poly fill/butyl Rubber?
