The way that Val explains movement and application is wonderful. I have learned a lot by observing his video lessons that has done wonders in assisting my Panantukan training, and aiding me in keeping a calm mind through steadied breathing. Love the guy!
Martin wheeler is good but you forget val spent over a decade as a spetsnaz operator for the KGB Martin is a civilian who's done mostly bouncer work and Contracting val has done this longer than Martin would imagine and is a veteran big difference in people who train for what if and those who've trained and crossed that rubicon.
Thing is, overhand rights are very common in street fights, as well as right hooks, but, then there's body weight behind them, and are very very fast. Many are not that way, they simply let their ego drive them. But some, they're aggressive, angry, very fast and hard to hurt. Martial arts often neglect these things.
