When symbolica opened, the whale always took a deep dive behind the glass of the Botanicum scene. 10:31 That vertical movement has been broken for years. Nowadays the mythical creature hangs permanently in the same place, without suddenly appearing. The defect turned out to be very difficult to solve: during the construction of Symbolica, Efteling chose not to make the movement technology accessible from the outside. but fortunately Efteling has announced that the problem is finally being resolved. A specialized team will repair the animal, but in order to do so, part of the roof of Symbolica has to be removed.
@@TPIOfficial I can still remember, what it looked like when the effect was still working properly. And that was very impressive. especially since it was an animatronic, and not a projection. what most other parks would do.
