  • Walking in a forest underneath some of the largest and oldest trees on earth was very cool. From General Grant at roughly 1,700 years old, to “The Stump” also known as the Mark Twain tree, the history of Kings Canyon National Park is another reminder of just how special each of our National Parks are.

    ℹ️ About This Episode
Although some National Parks may not have the current popularity requiring reservations, we’ve yet to visit a park that has not been inspiring and breathtaking.
To visit Kings Canyon was an example of this. The first park we’ve been to with such giant trees. The size of the trees is just the teaser. The sound of the birds, the perfect natural landscape, to the obvious fires these forest have survived, absolutely stunning!
Do keep in mind, there are giants outside the National Park! The drive to the Boole tree trailhead is awesome!! Driving past a previous forest of giant sequoias cut down by loggers, was a reminder of days past, while exemplifying an appreciation for what we now understand as a place to be cherished and protected. After a hike only about a mile long to the Boole tree, you will most likely be the only person standing looking up at this ginormous tree amounts a comparative infant forest of tiny trees (normal size trees to most of us).

You're too kind :) Thank you! Have no clue on getting views on the TH-cam, so we'll just keep working on the craft we love so much.

Thank you! I never looked it up, however I have no idea why they have Kings Canyon and Sequoia NP as separate parks when they are connected together... Cheers!
