What is Fish School? | The Marine Mammal Center

Every year, we rescue hundreds of marine mammal pups that were either separated from their mothers too early, or never quite got the hang of feeding themselves. Sometimes the pups come to us so young, they don’t even know what a fish is! So, we enroll these young seals in “fish school,” a program that teaches them how to find and eat fish on their own.
