Why do you swap creatures between the characters cuase I didn't understand it ?

First time playing Portishead and I've failed. I think it's impossible to win it from the first go. Knowing all the hidden places saves you so much time.
Also, 19 months in, the enemy heroes are so much powerful than me with 4-5 times armies than mine. Sad

This is probably Nebels most difficult map. A lot of things are important here: good map knowledge, good coordination of all your heroes, no losses of shooting units, lots of fights with forcefield, fighting in castles, trying around to get morale bonuses, good money management and so on..
But I don't think it's impossible on the first try.
