Personally my favorite of the album. The cheery gospel instrumental tries to hide of an obviously depressing story. He says “Its a shame” to sarcastically describe every situation said in this song presumably about a failing relationship that he would enjoy if he was able to fix it. But doesn’t know how to fix the relationship so the “booze” keeps lighting the flame. He also speaks about how the woman doesn’t want a long term relationship when he talks about taking pictures for her instead of with her. It gives a feeling of hopelessness since he’s willing to squeeze whatever fun he can before the relationship inevitably ends and he moves on to fall in love with next woman.
