Just saw the re-release of Alien in the theaters for the 45th anniversary. After all these years, it still holds up! It was basically a haunted house story set on a spaceship, and it worked. Of course, watching it knowing what's going to happen gives it a whole different dimension.
Hey Ezy, really great reaction. So many these days due to high tech and CGI dont really appreciate the special effects/visuals. Being 1979, films like this and Star Wars catapulted Sci-fi films making way to what we see today. Deserving of the awards they recieved. It was an amazing experience to sit in a packed theater at its opening, as a teen witnessing everyones reaction to it for the first time. Fun Fact...When they first see the alien when it pops out of Kanes chest is a true reaction from the cast. They knew something was going to happen from the script but had no clue about any specific details, because they wanted to catch their true reaction. Thanx so much, take care, Peace
Hahaha! Oh I can’t wait to see your reaction to the chest birth scene! This was the first sci-fi “horror” movie for me. I was 6. Loved it then, love it now. (Btw, parents back in ‘80s didn’t give a flying F if their 6 y/o watched scary movies. Or most rated R, esp. w/no sex. They didn’t think of violence and death-esp aliens or fantastical beings-being that big a deal. At all. Lol.)
I love your review! I saw this movie when it first came out in '79. (I was 22.) I went with my boyfriend at the time. I was SO scared just walking into the theater. We only had the trailer on TV (it was an excellent trailer). This is my favorite of all the Alien movies. It's a slow burn and the tension just kept building and building. It's my favorite movie and I've lost count of how many times I've seen it.
@@randomlyreactandreviewfirstEzy Personally,I wouldn’t watch any of them beyond the second film. I think that the 3rd one, in particular, kind of spits in the face of the Cameron film. I can’t stand it!
If you think Ash was bad, you need to watch Aliens. Of course, you should watch Aliens in general, because it's one of - if not the greatest sequel ever made
Yeah, see the difference between them and me I'll pass up my paycheck I'll go get a new job I'm not putting my life at risk for exploring and unknown world and secondly as soon as I saw that face hugger on that guy's face, I would have been gone I would have stolen the shuttle and left with a cat.

They towed cargo of any kind. In this case it was an ore-processing refinery being towed to a new location.

I think that prize should go to “The Godfather Part 2”, but “Aliens” is a fine film.
P.S. - Even that actor’s own mother said that she was glad for what happened to his character when she saw that film. 😂
@@MsAppassionata Let me guess. You're one of those few people that don't consider Camerons films to be high art...?
@@LukeLovesRose Huh? Dude, I said it was a fine film.
“Ash was trash”. 😂😂😂 Love that title.
lol he was.
😃Yep…priceless.
This was the film that made Sigourney Weaver a star.
Now you HAVE to see Aliens, the 1986 sequel from director JAMES FRIGGIN CAMERON! 🤟😎🤙
