Concrete Winds is so great and is worthy of the recent praise. Saw them live a month back and I had to leave in a wheel barrow more or less. Some great picks here, Ripped to Shreds for example.
Oh yeeeeeaaaaah, I remember Stress Angel! I listened to that album many months ago due to somebody on Discord telling me about it. It was quite a solid listen!
I thought I’d been keeping up on new releases but missed dipygus, stress angel and didn’t know rope sect had a new one….so cheers for those tips gonna listen to them now.
Djevel ~ Natt til Ende " is the best album of the month, and a serious contender for best of the year ~ Classic Dimmu Emperor style, but the production is INSANE Blood Incantation and Thy Catalfaulke were great suprises too
Man I seam to be the only person who loved the previous Spectral Wound. Everybody complains about it and I don't get it thought it ruled and like it more than the new one.
@@mazeoftorment805 I don’t know what it was about it man, I guess it’s because that was the one coming off the back of the outstanding ‘Infernal Decadence’, just didn’t do much for me (though it has its moments for sure!)

Actually don't like the new Spectral Wound album, every riff is melodic so there's no space for highlights in that sense, because there's not a single dark riff and the guitar tone along with the bass have an up beat vibe. Infernal Decadence is still their best by far
Give Askeesi “Anhedonia” a try and his song “ in the name of the mountains” from last year 👍💪. Also Asarhaddon “ Im tiefen wald” and Torden “ in the mist of the northern lands”
Kvaen' 2022 album was like top 20 for me. This one slightly disappointed me. I gave it a 7/10. I feel like I'm alone on this, so I definitely need to give it another spin. I feel like there's been so much better BM this year.
@Altars_of_Mattness I do, too. I listen to a lot of new releases, so finding time to revisit ones that didn't hit me right away is tough. But I love Kvaen, so it'll definitely get more spins eventually. Great lists btw.
