    I’ve watched just about every video you’ve released, this one has a charm and quality to it above all the rest. I just wanted to say how happy this video made me, it wasn’t so much the backpack or EDC(although very fun to watch!), but how strongly your personality comes through. Just wanted to say I thought it was great!

      I totally agree that this is one of your best videos! The music and pacing especially during the first half of this one are on point. I generally watch everything at x2 speed but watched this at 1x just because the ambience was so enjoyable and it was obvious you were really excited to share your setup.

    I’ve gone back to this video each time I’ve decided to change out my work backpack. His thoughts on the organization and minimization of the items carried serve as solid reminds of why my shoulder is sore all the time. My load out always seems to be to heavy. Good solid content here on this channel and I greatly appreciate this one.

    Thank you so much for this review! My faithful EDC of over 8 years was falling apart and I reluctantly started searching for a replacement. I watched so many videos and reviews and eventually narrowed it down to this Bellroy as a strong contender. Your review was the one that finally convinced me to go for it and I'm so glad I did. The backpack is great and after a few weeks of use I feel assured that I've invested in a bag that's going to last me just as long as my last one, if not longer. Thanks for the nice discount also :)

    Nothing is nicer for a bag setup than an organizer pouch that perfectly fits that bag in a few orientations. Evergoods has this type of detail as well but I've heard only positives about Bellroy. I'm glad you made the video and truly get to use that bag consistently for years to come.

  • @ManateeMobile
    @ManateeMobile ปีที่แล้ว

    I have this bag and really like it a lot, everything you said is true and the top and tech pockets are really ingenious
    I only have 3 small gripes about it:
    1. I’ve been spoiled by Evergoods’ back panel and shoulder straps, and really wish the back and shoulders for the Bellroy were stiffer or more robust
    2. There is a known issue with the shoulder strap adjusters coming loose since there is nothing to hold them in place when they aren’t “taut”, so if your bag is on the ground they might come loose and you’ll have to readjust
    3. The lack of external water bottle pocket helps keep the bag looking tidy but if you carry a bigger bottle you won’t be able to fit it into the internal pockets
    Besides those this bag is close to being a perfect everything bag and definitely the best for the urban look

  • @Bootus123
    @Bootus123 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My backpacks (fjallraven Raven 20L) top pocket is where I store my keys, earbuds, and a little tin of mints.
    I have a lot of keys between my three jobs, and I can't keep them all on my keyring with my car fab. So I just have exterior door keys on my actual key ring, and everything else on separate rings in the pocket. I also keep my key for my wife's car in there. It's a great place for stuff like that.

    • @NicholasGarofola

    • @Bootus123

      @@NicholasGarofola it's a good bag for sure, but I have two complains:
      1. It does not stand up very well. You either have to lean it against something or lay it down flat.
      2. The mesh pockets inside bulk up pretty quickly, and it really gets in the way of the main compartment of you have more than a couple small things in them.

    I just reworked my Go (to work) Bag; here’s my current set up omitting phone wallet keys headphones multi tool and water bottle cause I aways have those.
    My employee ID on a quick clip. IDs have to be on your person so I only leave it on the bag when I’m at home, so I never have to run around looking for my badge.
    Hard plastic paper folder for work documents or my I9 docs.
    Notebook for training or SOP notes.
    Good clicky top pens
    Emergency bad breath kit. Floss, mouthwash, gum and altoids. All travel size.
    Emergency needle thread and tide stick
    Covert cash stash, including snack machine quarters :P
    Travel size screen cleaner.
    Chapstick, dude wipes, and hand sanitizer
    Preferred allergy med, and tissues
    Travel size is the key, just enough items that if I run late I won’t go all day without fresh teeth or pits. And can clean up in case of a surprise meeting.

    What are your thoughts on efficiency vs minimalist aesthetic. Also how do you apply this to you PC set I’m constantly removing and adding. monitors 2 screens + a laptop is probably more efficient for my job, but I go down to just my laptop as sometimes I find it helps me focus not just on slowing me down but also the declutter helps me focus.

    • @NicholasGarofola
      @NicholasGarofola  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think you could have both. I don’t currently have a PC (just a monitor for my laptop), but I think I were more focused with having just my laptop, I’d go with that.

    I was looking at the transit workpack, its almost there, but I really want a luggage pass through cause on the few occasions I do need one, its just too annoying not having one. For just work laptop carry I use a dsptch slingpack or waterfield briefcase depending on how I'm dressed. When I need more capacity, I use an Evade 1.5, which is a little heavy but can carry pretty much anything. The moment 28L and tortuga laptop have caught my eye cause they are set up for travel, but are lighter than my current bag.

    • @microvizart

    Great video, very relevant to myself recently in I want a new bag. Biggest consideration you’ve touched on is hopefully it’ll be an investment for the long term, in that I’d like it to be the last time I’ll buy a new one! Durability, aesthetics and functionality. I’m going for the Thule Aion 28l, covering all bases, as well as a minimalist travel pack. However, your new setup looks great, nice bag, never really considered Belroy. You have made me reconsider a tech bad addition, instead of everything everywhere I’ll have to root in the bag for, all in one place makes so much more sense, but just didn’t cross my mind until now. Diolch!

    • @NicholasGarofola

    i had this bag for 2 years, rarely use it, used it for a month, its to saggy, not adding a sternum strap was a big mistake, this bag sits so bad on longer days and laptop/tablet and few other items in it. bellroy went for looks over comfort here. Also summer time, this is a sweat machine.

    • @Ninachuu
      @Ninachuu ปีที่แล้ว

      I have this bag, and yes I did experience the slipping issue (carrying my workstation laptop about 3kg + lunch box + tech bag and a water bottle) . I emailed Bellroy directly and they sent me a webkeeper. My weightload is about 4-5kg depending on the water bottle im carrying (either a 500ml tumblr or my lululelmon 1l bottle). It still experience slipping if i carrying my 3kg laptop, but if it isnt in the bag, it doesn't really slip. So yeah the webber works if you're not carrying anything toooooo heavy like me.
