Thank you kindly. I noticed my symptoms were getting worse. For the record, I remove snow for a living, although I am equipped and protected by orthopedic braces; some damage is happening. I had carpien tunnel syndrome operation in the past. I also had "De Quervain" syndrom in my thumbs. I will adapt the way I work to ease the shocks and work less also. I will bandage my wrist, instead of wearing a protective brace. God bless you for posting this, you really help me improve my health. 🕊️
i ride a motorcycle to work 20 miles a day 6 days a week now i know why my pinky is numb .. need to take a brake as i dont have any back issues or ever had any.. so thanks for this ! :)
Thank you very much Dr. Simon you saved me from unnecessary surgery to release cubital nerve!! I released my ulnar nerve compression at the hand level (guyon tunnel) by using garden tools!!
I find like something blocks towards the ulnar when I try to rotate my wrist and feel pain towards the ulnar, it is more worse when I keep my elbow 90 degree with the biceps and try to rotate my wrist both clockwise and anticlockwise. It got affected by bench pressing and also I ride two wheelers which may have sparked the injury. What could be my problem?
@@davidcamacho1901 give it rest and with time it heals. For my case it comes out when I do heavy lifting even to this day but not much pain like the initial years. Get well soon
I feel the same I’ve been dealing with it for the past year it’s horrible I can’t do what I want (gym) to my full potential because it affects my wrist, went to the doctors they told me nothing at all.

Mine is not healed completely even after 3 years, whenever I load it heavy the pain comes back but not like the initial stages (I would say it is just 10% of the initial stages). Yes, I also gave up heavy lifting workouts.

My laptop keyboard makes my left wrist bend to the outside and it just makes my pinkie feel like weak/tired/strained and sometimes it makes my arm tingle a little bit. I stopped using my left pinkie to type and that fixed the problem for a little while but now it still does it even though I'm not even using my pinkie. But if I did do a lot of typing, like a bunch of typing tests in a row, it did make my pinkie coordination and usage decline almost like it was numb.

I jammed my hand under a garbage can/drum while tipping it into a skip (no bruising, blood, or swelling at all). Pins and needles started in pinky finger 2 days later and now 1 week later the whole finger is nearly completely numb. Just got checked out after days of my Index fingertip being numb, I was playing guitar quite alot at the time and also playing PlayStation, perhaps that is the cause, finger was numb for days and today got checker and have a splint on my finger, had an mri check and it was clear, hopefully this isn't permanent nerve damage

I think I have all of them on both hand all the way to my arm I work in painting airplanes I’m sanding all day for 40 -60 hours a week and when I’m not I’m spray painting for the same amount of hours a week been doing it for 6 years my hands have been getting really bad I need to go check my self On some morning I can’t feel my fingers in some days I get sharp pains out of now where it sucks well thank you I really have to go check my hands out

Oh jesus, I think I have something like this because my wrist has been hurting for 9 months now! But no one seems to know this type of sickness in Germany :( My pain hotspot is at the ulnar side (pinkie side) of the wrist. I have no idea how to treat it, there are no recommended stretches to be found, the only thing I got from my doctor (after MRI showed a PARTIAL lesion of the discus at the ulnar side) is that he send me to a surgeon :( I don't want surgery but it looks like there is little hope... I feel so alone with this bullshit sickness

Since about last one month, i suddenly start to feel pain in my ring finger (only ring finger), and happens as that after it starts i have to keep my finger bent like making a fist, if i try to strengthen my finger right when it starts to be full straight it starts to be very very very painful and after that i can't, you know like fully open my hand. At this stage all my other fingers and hand remains totally normal but only that ring finger creates a lot of pain. It gets betyer if i keep my hand in fist form for about 3-4 hours. Which is a lot, i imagine what if it would happen when i am not home it seriously creates a lot of problem. Any advice would be very helpful.

i was assesed with slight ulnar nerve impingment...my fingers shake (twitch when i attempt to straighten them...all fingers...although everyone says twitching cannot be caused by ulnar nerve, is it possible, since it supplies the motor function of the hand? I have done MRI of brain, neck etc basically everything to figure out the muscle twitches, and all they can come up with is the ulnar nerve is slightly impinged...i also get numbness at night but only 4th and 5th finger...
Hi, to be honest I'd be surprised if it was directly related, but hard to be categorical without a full assessment. If you have some treatment, you'd see if improves and resolves the issue. Bw Simon

It happens when you hold ur phone with 1 hand and I got my pinky on the bottom were tge charger goes so it won't fall it sucks my hand so use to it when I grab the phone using 1 hand
