Have to disagree with you, Jason S Lee is like 4 inches taller 40 pounds heavier and has a completely different face and build. Though Jason S Lee is a good actor he didn't act like or fight like Bruce Lee. The fight scenes seemed more like a Jackie Chan movie.
The black guy that’s with Bruce is now a REAL LIFE teacher who opened a school in New York and honors Bruce Lee for his teachings and getting him off the streets
I remember when I first saw this scene, I was so happy to see martial arts cinema legend John Cheung the Drunken Monkey Master. I grew up watching him in Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest movies when I was a child.
He also played in old 70's Shaw Brothers martial arts movies like The 36 Chambers Of Shaolin with Gordon Lui and The Executioners Of Death with Lo Lieh and Chen Kuan Tai.
Agreed. Wong Jak Man is a liar and a fraud. He is a grifter who tried to rewrite history. Linda Lee and several others witnessed the fight and they all testify to the immutable fact that Bruce defeated Wong Jak Man. He never challenged Lee ever again. It was after this fight, Lee started all over and formulated Jeet Kune Do, he expanded his mind, revamped his body, and he would change martial arts forever!
Thank you "A couple of bruthas tried to rob him Last year-one went to the hospital -the one with the gun went to the funeral home." I would have liked to see that. I like both guys for different reasons: Jason Scott Lee was just marvelous, far more the nuance and his acting. Johnny Sun i ve seen him in a couple movies, Hong Kong variety...and let's just say he took it easy on JSL... Snake In The Monkeys Shadow is maybe his most prominent film, idk.
He was a legend, and truly was a skilled martial artist and dont get it twisted Bruce Lee was a deadly man at hand to hand combat i dont think people realize how bad the dude was.
Awesome fight but Bruce Lee could kick at a hundred mph and punch at 50 mph. They had to slow down the camera because his hits were to fast. Why he's king 👑 .
It's a shame that the film has nothing in common with Bruce Lee's life. The fight shown here is actually the fight against Wong Jack Man and there were no champions there, just Linda Lee and Dan Inosanto
I do enjoy this film, but it's a heavily-romanticised version of Bruce Lee's life. It's like the Ip Man movies for me: entertaining, but don't take it at face value as fact.
Can someone tell me which other legend, like Bruce Lee, who did an exhibition with OTHER martial arts schools and demonstrates on master's not student like all other exhibition? Most of all, he proves to other martial artists his art was real, not bs
You're young, so saying that is ok...but you just watched a MOVIE clip of his SON in a FICTIONAL match...is this what you're basing your assessment off of??!
@@bradgavel9991 first of àll I'm not young. Secondly like someone else mentioned Norris actually fought people and was a champion fighter. Lee just made movies .
Unfortunately, history has no neutral witness who can testify the real nature and result of this much talked about fight. As far as I’m concerned, the fighters agreed the loser would stop teaching martial arts, something both kept doing after the clash
Unfortunately this fight never happened, most of the events om yip man is a lie. Bruce Lee never hurt his back fighting but weightlifting. Bruce Lee has skills but chinese marketing has also merged corrupting the entire understanding of the complete picture. So unfortunate. 😒🙄
This is bulshit because it took him three minutes to actually beat the guy and he was mad because it took so long that's why he developed his own style I saw a biography with his wife who said that he didn't get hurt he just what I said
Great choreography, fake story. They should've started with how Bruce Lee went for an eye poke when his opponent tried to shake his hand and end the story with Bruce needing to completely overhaul his martial arts style after the fight.
The first fight did happen, but absolutely not in the way it's presented here. It was with a martial artist called Wong Jack Man, and according to rumour, consisted of it degenerating into Bruce chasing him around the room for three minutes. But according to Wong Jack Man that's not true either. I guess egos will stop us from ever knowing the truth. But this film, while entertaining, heavily romanticises Bruce Lee's life. It's not technically all lies, but it really does embellish a lot of truths.
Yeah, its a sliding scale of "inaccuracies". Whether its a blatant, glancing, outright lie-or-fabrication: Never happened...or...well it's kinda True but it happened in a different order...wow...if I wasn't there, its like two events got spliced into one scene. Movies are just like peoples testimony: No matter the source- if you weren't there you can't say u " really know "
Mr.Jason Scott Lee did an awesome job! This film deserves more praise!
I will say Jason Scott Lee honored bruce lee with his performance in this movie. You actually thought he was bruce lee
Not even close😂
Have to disagree with you, Jason S Lee is like 4 inches taller 40 pounds heavier and has a completely different face and build. Though Jason S Lee is a good actor he didn't act like or fight like Bruce Lee. The fight scenes seemed more like a Jackie Chan movie.
this was my favorite movie when i was younger, i watched it so much,
i was fortunate to watch all the originals, first. Saw this one with my mom years later lol
R.I.P Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee
JSL is beast. Thank you for your dedication to the role.
"I beat him before"
I appreciate the bold faced lie haha
He never beat Bruce he attacked him from behind after he already gave up.
Big FACTS
This was a fantastic movie and Jason Scott Lee did an excellent job playing Bruce! Probably the most believable version I've seen.
Don't go too far hon . It be over in 60 seconds😂😂😂
Any movie about Bruce Lee is timeless. Just the greatest fighter at his tme..
He definitely played the best Bruce Lee of anyone
I love this movie so much. Jerome is being a good friend by asking Bruce to forget about them theres no reason to fight.
The "Jerome" character was based on Bruce's first Student, Jesse Glover.
Johnny Sun sure has a hard believing that he can bleed. 3:22 & 8:47 😂😂
The sound effects guy was going ham with the noises lol
"SQWUMS!"
This is the best bruce lee movie ever made
The black guy that’s with Bruce is now a REAL LIFE teacher who opened a school in New York and honors Bruce Lee for his teachings and getting him off the streets
Haven’t seen this in a while, good memories!
crazy how Johnny Sun actor looks like Akira Nakai from RWB porche
Minus the cigs and gray hair lol
I remember when I first saw this scene, I was so happy to see martial arts cinema legend John Cheung the Drunken Monkey Master. I grew up watching him in Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest movies when I was a child.
Don't forget his appearance in Bloodsport...
I forgot how awesome this movie was!
Bruce Lee was and still is the best.
4:13 that added tiger roaring!
R.I.P. Bruce Lee 😢
That was the longest 60 seconds I have ever seen.
3:35 That's the same sound from shaq fu when they do their special moves. Thats crazy. LOOOOL
R.I.P. Bruce Lee & His Son Brandon Lee!
Such a great movie
I recognize Johnny Sun in the movies Bloodsport and Double Impact
That’s HK actor John Chan.
He also played in old 70's Shaw Brothers martial arts movies like The 36 Chambers Of Shaolin with Gordon Lui and The Executioners Of Death with Lo Lieh and Chen Kuan Tai.
Better than that new Bruce Lee movie, Birth of the Dragon.
Agreed. Wong Jak Man is a liar and a fraud. He is a grifter who tried to rewrite history. Mortal Kombat vibes
They actually approached Jason Scott Lee to play Liu Kang but he turned it down.🙁 Well that was the rumor anyway.
I remember seeing this in the theater
Me too. I went with my dad. Good times ✌️
Linda lee Was there for this fight. Its weird they didn't include her
I didn't know that. But yeah, they should have put the camera on her. Wonder if she actually ASKED them not to....
I like hearing THE THRILLING MUSIC SCORE of Preparation!!
(0:26-2:40)
I own the soundtrack and score...if you can find it, you'll love it!
Best Bruce Lee movie ever!
EDIT: THE BEST MOVIE "ABOUT" BRUCE LEE!!! I didnt think I had to spell it out JESUS CHRIST ALMIGHTY!!!!!!!
You mean about Bruce Lee? Best Bruce Lee movie would actually have him in it.
@@TravelingwithValeman77 Yes! About him!
it's the Best movie about Bruce Lee, but not the best bruce lee movie.
@@xenomorphelv4265 Is that better now? Are you happy?? I fixed it just for you! Are we good now? Are you good now?
4:49 Shamed never saw his brother give up
I see a parallel between these fights and Rocky vs. Lang fights 1&2...
Longest 60 seconds ever😂
R.I.P. Bruce Lee
Legend has it that Johnny is still wiping the blood off his mouth and looking at it to this day.
Yes it is it's a great movie he played the role very well
Little before but still cool
Grandmaster is the best martial arts movie ever!
Thank you

On behalf of Target, this fight is to demonstrate which Pyjamas are best. White silk or Black cotton.
lol he was barking in his entire fight
Jason Scott Lee played it like a caricature like an impression almost farcical.
Bruce was the original goku he gave him a chance the first time!!!! And he pulled a freeza move.
He was a legend, and truly was a skilled martial artist and dont get it twisted Bruce Lee was a deadly man at hand to hand combat i dont think people realize how bad the dude was.
He has no track record of fighting but is somehow the best fighter ever lol
Don’t believe everything you see in the movies
I ain't get no rice today.
Awesome fight but Bruce Lee could kick at a hundred mph and punch at 50 mph. They had to slow down the camera because his hits were to fast. Why he's king 👑 .
this was also a great video game.
Bruce won because he actually stretched out properly for the fight
5:05
If I was tasked with casting an Asian man with the features of Harvey Keitel, I would immediately cast this guy.
The warm up JSL did was a True Dragon Form...The Opponent used Tiger Forms...
If you speed it up x10 it actually looks like Bruce Lee fighting.
It does reminded of the old Bruce Lee movies
He beat Underpants Diddy and Ashton kushter Useres and Leo de Captain of Titanic 😂
It's my understanding the first scene was inspired by Bruce's fight against Wong Jackman...
"We got a bleeder!"
David gardening trained Bruce
Cierto
5:41 "I beat him before..."
Actually, no you didn't.
Right! 😆
It's a shame that the film has nothing in common with Bruce Lee's life. The fight shown here is actually the fight against Wong Jack Man and there were no champions there, just Linda Lee and Dan Inosanto
Tripping The High land.e.r.🎉😂
Carabistouille😂
The Super Nintendo game for this movie was decent.
Best him before?! He lost... Before
was this movie intended to come off like a comedy?
When is that movie from - what year?
1993
Which angle he looks like bruce lee....
I do enjoy this film, but it's a heavily-romanticised version of Bruce Lee's life. It's like the Ip Man movies for me: entertaining, but don't take it at face value as fact.

Genuine
As a kid I knew bruce lee messed up his back and I knew this was based on the life of bruce lee. So I always thought someone kicked him on his back.
sein Spitzname " die Eule "
his back injury was because he deadlifted too much weight
Where is Bruce Lee in this video?
Jason skot lee.
He would've beat Chuck Norris in 30 seconds
Nope. Would have been. A good fight
You're young, so saying that is ok...but you just watched a MOVIE clip of his SON in a FICTIONAL match...is this what you're basing your assessment off of??!
Bruce Lee never actually fought anyone in a competition or professionally. But Chuck Norris was an actual world champion. So I think Chuck would win.
@@bradgavel9991 first of àll I'm not young. Secondly like someone else mentioned Norris actually fought people and was a champion fighter. Lee just made movies .

While this may be an exaggeration… the fight did happen and I came across a short stating Bruce Lee only ever got in one fight
You call this guy Bruce Lee ? 😂😂😂
Jho rogan
Thatcher vidéo is face 1993
На 3:56 минуте , потлатый хотел раздавить скунса .
Nvr turn ur back on ur enemy
Looks too staged IMO 👎
Not as real looking as the old movies with Bruce himself. RIP Bruce.
The video game wasn't that bad either lol.
The act and fight not even close to Bruce Lee style haaaa it good goofy
Alot of this movie is fake
Little stick boys without all the CGI.
What CGI 😂

Great choreography, fake story. They should've started with how Bruce Lee went for an eye poke when his opponent tried to shake his hand and end the story with Bruce needing to completely overhaul his martial arts style after the fight.
