40 minutes of so much valuable knowledge. You pointed out so many things and showed great directions on how to approach feet. Im always amazed how many thing from the reference photos I don't notice until I review my work with your videos. I also appreciate how constantly you mention how important gesture is, because it really freaking is. I think this "drawing showcase" was the best one yet, worthy of the finale of the anatomy course. All that for the price of $0. I know people keep commenting it, but I hope you know what a blessing you are to every beginner.
I have been watching your tutorials for a while now and admire your wonderful gift that I'm sure you've worked extremely hard for. Thank you for giving myself and many others the joy of watching a true master at work. Keep safe....
I was so eager to say how this was one of the best, if not the best video of the channel, so detailed, step-by-step, hope you make your decisions...then comes that adorable phonecall and that's possibly one of the best I've ever watched lol
Hey Proko, awesome video. This thought process helped me understand how to construct my drawings better. Could you please make more construction + process videos?
Hi Stan. I'm commenting from South Africa. I appreciate what you did for us who rely on your TH-cam videos .Can you please help us with foot muscles video. Please I'm begging!!!
Now I just gotta find the same quality lessons on Talons, Paws, Hooves, Fins, Webbed, Gecko, Water-walking, Clawed, and ... Ok imma just draw snakes they ain't got feet. Easy.
Hey Proko/guys, i have a doubt i hope yall can help me with. I want to learn 2d animation and i realized i cant draw methodically so i spent the last week and a half learning Prokos anatomy lessons and some composition , values , perspective and color lessons from here and there.. but now what ? do i just focus on rough sketchy animations without much prior knowledge on being a really good animator or do i become a better drawer ? Its tough man, could really use your guys advice on the matter, thanks ;,)
Hey there! I may not be Proko, but if you're seeking animation advice from an illustrator (that's like seeking mental help from a physician), you probably won't be able to get much new useful information. Animation and illustration require very different skills, so if you need genuinely valuable animation advice, maybe try looking to other yt channels?
I would suggest the youtube channel " BAM Animation" They talk digital art techniques, why to use them, how to plan, and other useful stuff...also they draw cartoons of various styles.
Also consider branching out to other subjects. You can apply simple shapes to anything and figure drawing can be a lot more complex than many things out there.
If you are not getting it, you're missing the proper training, the beginner's drawing skills and understanding of how to see what you're looking at. Start with basic prism, sphere and cylinder, proceed to simple every day objects like a vases, cups, boxes, shelves, fruit, etc. Then move to more complicated objects like furniture, trees, houses, etc. before attempting human form. And do yourself a favor, don't draw from photos, only from life.
Hey, how's the book going? Can we expect it for next year? Btw, you made the toes a little too long, I bet you noticed later ;) Thank you for this awesome video, I feel like this is part of your course, but you gave it for free
Please translate your videos into Arabic because there are some Arabs who follow you and do not understand what you say like me, I am an Arab and an artist I have been following you for a long time, but I cannot understand what you are saying so I hope you will support the translation into Arabic, please reply and thank you
I am a Indian so I speak in Hindi so I no understand you all language you speak very fast English so in your video you drawing lot and not speak must I understand your knowledge by drawing so I hope you understand my says
Dood the big toe is way to long and the angle is wrong on it , you made fem foot into a male long jumpers foot..Above the pinky your missing an important indentation which twists the foot in a weird perspective way..Pause at 40:10, sit back...
3:45 so if this's not the way u begin drawing feet and it's just studying then why u don't make a video real time and show us how u do u begin drawing this feet the way u draw
Mmmh, I think even with all that initial preparation of yours, you didn't catch the right angle and folds of the 3°and 4° fingers and all the nails perspective. The 3° and 4° look awkward compared to the other fingers, they seams to twist and bend in a very strange way....don't like the pinky too, the extreme shadow up to it is missing. Every artist has his/her way, but I believe the easier the better: look carefully what you see and don't loose yourself into other things that can complicate your learning and make it hard than it is, come on even humans cave draw without any "if you can't do the preparation how can you do this". Of course is my opinion and as an artist I've learnt to draw before being capable of writing and that's why I think simplifying the approach give more result...basics are fondament but they have to be simple. I generally admire your work and your explanations but not this time and I apologize for my unkind words and critics. 🌹
