  • Greenwich is one of the best places to visit in London with so much to see and do. Our guide to this beautiful, historic town shows you the best things to do in Greenwich, what you can't afford to miss as well as the best Greenwich restaurants and street food!
Royal Greenwich is in Greater London, a short trip away from central London and so the perfect day trip - it's 10 minutes by train or 20 minutes by thames clippers/ Uber boat. You can also get there by bus or the DLR, it does not have a tube station.
Visit Greenwich for it's rich history, including it's Royal and maritime heritage, as well as top attractions like the Cutty Sark, Greenwich Park, Greenwich Market, Royal Observatory, Planetarium, National Maritime Museum and its amazing views across London. We'll also share some recommendations of the best, cheap street food and other recommendations of where to eat and drink.
Top things to do in Greenwich London:
    1. Old Royal Naval College (Greenwich University) - make sure to visit the Painted Hall!
    2. Have a drink riverside at The Trafalgar Tavern
    3. Visit the Cutty Sark
    4. Walk around and visit the independent shops
    5. Explore Greenwich Market and choose from an enormous amount of delicious street food!
    6. Greenwich Park - walk up to the Royal Observatory for the best views of London, visit the museums or just stroll around the park
    Best Restaurants in Greenwich:
    1. Goddards of Greenwich - for traditional London Pie and Mash (this place has been around for 100+ years)
    2. Paul Rhodes - some of the best bread in London and suppliers of Michelin starred restaurants!
    3. Dark Sugars - for some of London's best and most decadent hot chocolate
    4. Ruby's of London - plant based bakery which has grown into a shop from its popularity as a stall once in the market
Greenwich Market Food Stalls visited in the video and what we had:
Hot Dogs - Seitan hot dog: £7
    Teriyaki-ya - Katsu Curry: £7
Portuguese Treats - Pasteis de nata: £2 (some of the best in London)
