I’ve stopped playing bo1 standard this set, I just don’t find these red decks to be fun on either side. This has made it more difficult to slide in a couple games d/t time constraints.
It's nutty how strong the agro decks are in this standard. You need luck to beat them even when your entire deck is designed to beat them, and, of course, as soon as you do so the matchmaker suddenly puts you up against other decks.
@@trixlee5102 Its almost like hyper-consistent aggro decks love playing a format where you cant sideboard against them and the format is widely more RNG-dependend. Almost like MTG was designed for best-of-3 matches.
it took you over 20 years of this game being around to notice that newer cards on average are better then old ones to sell packs since selling packs is what keeps the company alive?

It's even worse that so many of them are in early access. I guess one he played showcases the leyline, but multiple were just standard red aggro.

Red leyline, Rescue Beastie, various reanimation spells, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, ...
