Why just cause Refs spotted OSU by 7pts with that INT not being awarded? Or that could have a 14pt swing considering that Oregon should have gotten the ball Oregon TOOK away from OSU? But watch the game again and you'll see playing the whole "woulda shoulda coulda" game doesn't favor the Buckeyes. In OSU's first drive of the game there was a 100% objectively missed interception that wasn't called (it was early in the game so everyone forgot about that, but it was blatant enough for the announcers to talk about it and show replays of it), Ohio State ended up scoring on that drive so that's literally a 7 point swing and potentially a 14-point swing assuming Oregon converts on extremely good field position. Also, on Oregon's 3rd or 4th drive there was a missed blatant defensive holding AND PI call that resulted in Oregon settling for going for 3 instead of 7. Additionally our kicker missed that chip shot field goal which was 1 of his 2 misses that he had the ENTIRE season as a top 20 kicker in the country. "Woulda shoulda coulda" favors that Ohio State loses that game by multiple possessions rather than the theory that a ticky tacky call and self-inflicted clock mismanagement would have led to a 45 yard field goal that people assume the kicker would have hit? Oregon is going to win this Rose Bowl in a decisive fashion manner. My first prediction was 41-31… But now I am going with 42-27
Absolute clown takes on a lot of this. They act like this was a race between a Ferrari and a Geo Metro. “In 12 out of 13 games they’ve done this well on defense”, hmmm, they act like they didn’t show up to play a Purdue type of team. Maybe one side’s coaches are better at doing their homework and prepared their guys not to just rely on what everyone says about them? Do they not realize that they played against another team stacked with talent? The other team just happens to have played in the same conference and went undefeated, but it’s an anomaly game? How about go into some detail why it was an “anomaly”. It’s not always the team stacked with the highest rated talent that wins, which I get is what PFF is all about, but which team can play as a cohesive whole and score more points than the other. Fancy that, I guess there are certain things that don’t show up in PFF scores that win games. As much as Computer models can be correct on a lot of things, it doesn’t take into account for the human element which can throw an entire wrench into things.
I listen to Quack 12 Podcast and their analyst is amazing! I like how he mentioned that Ohio’s line was never filled with elite talent and therefore the substitutions were never much of a drop off. He also talked about Penn State always having a fifth gear but James Franklin decides to play “high variance games” by lowering possession count through being primarily run led. Aka I think the Oregon defense can and should hold up very well!
I have a feeling buckeyes because Oregon hasn’t played in awhile and tackling is an issue sometimes with defenders that haven’t played in awhile but if Oregon plays great defense in this game I like the ducks I’m gonna go with a different theory that Oregon played in rose bowl earlier this year and played well while making a bunch of mistakes I think they don’t make mistakes in this game and win 32 - 23
If the DBs (Denzel Burke & Igbinosun) play their best game, and the DL keeps pressuring Gabriel, high possibility that the buckeyes win. 35-24 Buckeyes
So basically Ohio Stae sucked at everything in the first matchup and lost by 1 point. So if they suck slightly less at any one thing they should blow out Oregon.
The Buckeyes changed their D approach after the Ducks game. They brought zero pressure against Gabriel and simply tried to contain him .. allowing him to pick them apart with his arm. Since then, OSU has brought pressure vs opponents. This will be the D approach in this game. Do not allow Gabriel to get set and be comfortable. Will he break contain and run? Likely. But is he any better of a runner than UT's QB, Nico?
Glad to see the comment section soundly shutting down the one sided analysis “Should have won” tell me you didn’t watch the game and see the points the ducks left on the board without telling me you didn’t watch the game Spend the entire time talking about one team. SMH
If Ohio State wasn’t THE Ohio State University, they would be a 4.5 point underdog. I’ll take the free 3 points being given because of the team name. Oregon should win this by more than a touchdown.
It's mind boggling no one is mentioning the 20 points oregon had taken away on the fake reception that was an interception and the missed field goals and extra points. That game should not have even been close. Oregon is going to light up Burke and Igbinosun like a Christmas tree
@@Redeemed_Savageit really is. Oregons self inflicted mistakes cost them at least 10 points. Not even including the pick on the first drive that wasn’t challenged.
@ I wish this could’ve been a more intelligent conversation. lol. I’m going to take a wild guess and say that whoever makes the least amount of mistakes next game will win! 😂
I'm so sick of the "Ohio State should have won" narrative. The refs didn't look at the blown non- INT call in the 1st Q, which resulted in an Ohio State TD. There was a huge missed hold on Oregon's third drive that prevented an Oregon WR from being wide open in the redzone. This resulted in a missed long FG. Lanning was dumb and went for two and failed, then went for two again and failed. Oregon had a chip shot FG on 4th and goal, but Lanning made the decision to go for it and failed. Had Lanning called a little better game and the refs did their job, Oregon would have scored in the 40s and Ohio State would have had 7 fewer points. All anyone remembers is the final drive though.
Even with how horrible Burke played, if he would have made just one less mistake Ohio State wings the game. Can burke make one less mistake this time when Oregon doesn't have any element of surprise? It's common sense that obviously will be the case.
Ohio St should have won?.... So wait, after Ohio State being spotted 7 points for INT that was not awarded to Ducks, and then extra point missed, 44yd FG missed, another extra point missed cause of 2pt play, then the spit foul that pushed us out instead of 2nd and Goal, AND Holden kicked out and not available for the rest of the game, 4th and short ran instead of kicked FG. .... That INT not awarded is at the minimum 7pt swing, and up to 14pt swing (Had Oregon been awarded the ball and gone for it)..... So the conclusion is not "Oregon should have blown out Ohio St". Instead the conclusion is "Ohio St should have won"? Really?.... Like really, really?
I stated to my casual fan b4 game. “ you will hear that name a lot this game. “Sawyer”. The announcer never mentioned him until 4 th quarter during game. He was awful. Never talked about do to Burke story line that game.
I'M VERY SKEPTICAL ABOUT PFF. Here is why, How can any statistical program have a grade on every player in every game on every play in 24 hours? That seems difficult to outright impossile. And I lean towards IMPOSSIBLE!!! They have to have a mathematical formula that they base their grades on based on a few plays and success rates by unit (NOT INDIVIDUAL PLAYER) aNYWAY THATS MY TAKE! iNFORM ME BETTER AND I'LL BE LIKELY TO ACCEPT REASONABLE INTELLIGENT INFORMATION! MY MIND STAYS OPEN AS ALL SHOULD!
OSU loses for the second time by the Ducks! Oregon is for real this year and OSU came close to beating them but not this time. The Ducks will travel well and Dillon Gabriel will unleash on OSU even more so than back in October! The Ducks D will shut down the passing and running game. The Ducks are well rested and dialed in!

@@yagot2luvit OSU has racked up great defensive numbers against offensively challenged teams. They had the #1 ranked D in the nation before playing Oregon the first time. Oregon out rushed, out passed, and out played them in every phase.
Oregon was missing key players who are now available and OSU is missing 3 olinemen.
“Ohio state shoulda won”
Dude did you even watch that game? Oregon left a lot of meat on the bone. Ducks win by 10 in the Rose Bowl 🌹
So you're saying OSU didn't even play well and they should have won anyway.
Makes sense 😂
Sco 🦆🦆🦆
You guys need to stop looking at so many numbers, and go back and watch the three touchdowns at Oregon had wide open. It’s complete dumb luck that Ohio State lost by a point. 52-31 is what Oregon should’ve had… And that’s giving Ohio State the extra seven points after the interception that Oregon took on the first drive.
Oregon wins in a route and the fire Ryan Day campaign starts back up
No sir!
But if the Buckeyes win the Ryan Day's hold my nuts campaign marches forward for one more game.
@@titleist7624 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hey I'm buckeye for life no matter the circumstance. These colors don't run!!! 🅾️🅾️🅾️
@@mayhemmob88respect. Go ducks
Great rundown!!!
Are the Ducks overrated?
I have a feeling buckeyes because Oregon hasn’t played in awhile and tackling is an issue sometimes with defenders that haven’t played in awhile but if Oregon plays great defense in this game I like the ducks
I’m gonna go with a different theory that Oregon played in rose bowl earlier this year and played well while making a bunch of mistakes I think they don’t make mistakes in this game and win
32 - 23
Oregon beat them earlier and they are more than capable of beating them again!!
Oregon is better now!
Cmon guys. I love how all of you guys talk shit about the Ducks. Sorry to tell you but the Ducks will be ready for Ohio. DUCKS VS THEM. GO DUCKS!!!!!
Meth isn't good for your health 😂
The Buckeyes changed their D approach after the Ducks game. They brought zero pressure against Gabriel and simply tried to contain him .. allowing him to pick them apart with his arm. Since then, OSU has brought pressure vs opponents. This will be the D approach in this game. Do not allow Gabriel to get set and be comfortable. Will he break contain and run? Likely. But is he any better of a runner than UT's QB, Nico?
Glad to see the comment section soundly shutting down the one sided analysis
“Should have won” tell me you didn’t watch the game and see the points the ducks left on the board without telling me you didn’t watch the game
Spend the entire time talking about one team.
The idea that ohio state should have won the game in Oregon is hilariously inaccurate. 😂
It’s really not though.
@@Redeemed_Savageit really is. Oregons self inflicted mistakes cost them at least 10 points. Not even including the pick on the first drive that wasn’t challenged.
@@christianmcgowan8597 That's kind of how football works right?
@@Redeemed_Savage yup, which is exactly why it was that close of a game in the first place.
@ I wish this could’ve been a more intelligent conversation. lol. I’m going to take a wild guess and say that whoever makes the least amount of mistakes next game will win! 😂
Well, Oregon has their #1 receiver and super star edge rusher back. Ohio state never played against them.
Osu has lost two starters on the o line since they’ve played Oregon. Oregon didn’t have burch last time
What is ohio st gonna do about the only wr mvp in big ten championship history?

Oregon wins by 10. Its Oregon against the world now💚💛💪
I'm so sick of the "Ohio State should have won" narrative.
These guys are haters. You can tell people are in their feelings about Oregon running the big ten.
Oregon left 10 + points on field.
I wonder why Ohio State is the 2.5 point favorite? I guess they think Ohio State is the better team.
Your right one point does not make a win.
The way to win football games is to outscore the opponent by 1 point or 46 points, a win either way.
Oregon 42-17 💛💚💛💚
Fellas you have to DO MORE RESEARCH watching games , do you think Oregon has a better RUN DEFENSE than Tennessee? Penn State RAN DOWN THERE THROATS
I think Ohio State will redeem itself and play pissed like they did against tennessee. Ohio state 31 oregon 24
All I see is OREGON DUCK FANS CRYING 😢😆 Ducks are about to get COOKED!

@@wjmturner Aren't we all good guys on some level?
OSU loses for the second time by the Ducks! Oregon is for real this year and OSU came close to beating them but not this time. The Ducks will travel well and Dillon Gabriel will unleash on OSU even more so than back in October! The Ducks D will shut down the passing and running game. The Ducks are well rested and dialed in!
Third loss in four years to Oregon.
Michigan and Oregon eat OSU now.
If ohio state has no turnovers, we win this game hands down. When ohio state loses, its cause they beat themselves

Bottom line is these two teams are about as evenly matched as you can get. Statistically the buckeyes have the best defense in the country
# 1 scoring defense
#1 against the rush
#6 against the pass
#1 total defense
Penn State ran for 300 yards against Oregon. Ohio State is clearly the better defensive team and offensively OSU is every bit as good offensively as Oregon.
