9:06 I suspect the lack of water proofing of the Porros is only a marketing decision as there doesn't seem to be any technical reason not to make them so.
Very enjoyable thankyou .I tried to buy the E2 100 years model but wasn't quick enough but I bought the latest E2 with thallegedly updated coatings and couldn't be happier.
The later A series example in the video seems to have some fungus in the right tube, or is it just dirt? (see video at about 5.12min). This might explain why it is not as good as the previous model.
Thanks for this great video I have both Mikron and A series Nikons. Are there any classic porros that have anything approaching close focus ie under 10" ?
Hi Simon. Just bought a pair of old "Solaross 9 by 35" Ross of London. £25.00. Very light use. Leather straps and case look new. I am very pleased with them. No fogging, very sharp. Although im trying to get rid of the old fusty wardrobe smell lol. Cheers mate. May see/speak to you on Radiocruncher show.
The last pair, you showed, are truly amazing! They are not waterproof, as you stated, so I would occasionally have to clean them out. I can't ever remember having to adjust the collimation on them.
i guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a way to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.

There was another with a C designation on a few I’ve seen on some sights. Can you or anybody comment of what the C stands for? Also how are you getting you dating info from the serial numbers? Thank you

Why is "not waterproof" a disadvantage ? Are you going to swim with it ? I have used non waterproof binoculars for years and have had no problem in all weather. I have an older 8x30 and the brightness and sharpness are excellent compared to newer roof Nikons. It has a better fov than 99% of all other 8x binoculars.

No. Older bins tend to be limited although some can be modified to focus a bit closer. Expect 20 ft

Although Solaross were a budget binocular, some had good optical performance.

My nikon e2 got double vision issue
remo Malik Have a professional look at them. The collimation is incorrect.
