- This week, Adidas ended their partnership with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.
The rapper is facing intense scrutiny over weeks of offensive and anti-Semitic comments and social media posts. Those comments got him locked out of his Twitter and Instagram accounts and prompted a slew of companies to cut ties with him.
Adidas said that it does not tolerate hate speech and it will no longer sell items from his Yeezy brand.
Scott Levin, the Regional Director of Colorado’s Anti-Defamation League, talked to us about the comments and the impact they have on the Jewish community.

I'm not condoning anything West said, BUT, I do find it interesting that people can talk openly about anything they feel is wrong with the black culture or other cultures (even if its not something with racist intentions)... but no one, it seems, can even mention the word Jewish without 'anti-semitism' being screamed from atop the hills.
This observation would lead many to believe there is an imbalance of a narritive being controlled by one culture in the media over the other (but me writing this might be immediately considered anti-simetic/hateful).
From my experience people speak openly about all cultures and get criticism, but I do feel that judiasm gets criticized less

During his interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson, Kanye West said he would prefer that his children learn about Hanukkah instead of Kwanzaa because at least the Jewish holiday would teach them about “financial engineering.” His choice of words is amusing but poor. Kanye could have substituted "financial engineering" for "work hard in school" or "come endowed with great intelligence for certain tasks". He could have mentioned nepotism but he's making it all about the Jews and their supposed sneaky ways. This can't really be proved and if it could anyone could use "financial engineering"
